When I booked, I requested Cabanas section since it was centrally located. I was hoping to actually get near bus #4 and the dig. Now we are thinking of renting a car since I believe that 1st week of Oct will be crazy plus we have free dining so the car would save lots of time. Anyway, where is the best place to stay with a car? I can't figure out from the map. Looks like the Casitas????

All areas are convienent to the parking lot if you are using a car.I would say casita 4, rancho 6a or 7a and cabana 8b are closest.

We loved the rancho's7A section. Very well themed & beautiful...close to the dig site!

Enjoy it's a great resort!

We just returned from the CSR, stayed in cabana 8A, room #8100, first floor, corner room, standard view. I can not stress how close the parking lot was to our room, we actually parked in the ranchos section, right next to bus stop #4. You could look out our window and see the car right in front of us, extremely close. Bus stop #4 was two steps to the right, the dig site was two steps to the left. I also noticed since the cabanas don't have as many rooms the parking lots were less crowded compared to the other section so you could park closer. Hope that helps! You will love CSR! :Pinkbounc

I don't think you can go wrong in any of the sections. We stayed in the Casitas over Memorial Weekend, when the resort was COMPLETELY booked. The parking lot was not crowded at all. We were in building 2 and had a lovely view of a long fountain and a partial view of the quiet pool. We LOVED it!! This is really saying something since we had spent the previous 8 days at AKL. There were carts everywhere, so we didn't have to worry about the longish walk to the pool. Food, of course, was extremely conveniet. We could stay under cover on our walk to the Pepper Market. The bus stop was convenient, as well. This resort seems to be incredibly well thought out.

We stayed in Casitas 4May 30th to June 7th. We were able to park very closre to the building, but did not use our car to drive to the parks. The bus transportation was good and so our car sat all week.

We stayed in Cabanas 8B and could always park really close to the building.

I really loved the Cabanas section, especially the beach area with the hammocks. I would sit in one late at night and listen to an audiobook on my ipod while looking at the stars. :)
