Feb 12-19 7nts CSR $781 waterview room and POFQ $663 std view room. $118 difference.

We've done CSR and we enjoyed our stay there and we had a very good experience from them. We have never stayed at POFQ.

Convice me to stay with CSR and tell me why I should keep my reservation. OR...

Convince me to try POFQ and tell me why I should try this resort.

I know I know...It is only I can make the decision...but you guys are here to help me make the decision. :) Thanks for all your help.

I've stayed at CSR and really enjoyed it, but I'd go with POFQ. I've never stayed there and like to try a different resort each time. Also, saving $118 sounds good, especially since paying extra for a waterview at a moderate seems like a waste to me since you don't have a balcony anyway.

My vote goes for POFQ. Love it more than CSR! Of course, if someone told me that they would put me up at CSR for free, I wouldn't turn it down! I just think that the FQ is smaller, quainter, and more manageable. Don't care for the Pepper Market type food court.

We love FQPO. We have stay at ASMU, FQ, Poly, & WL. CSR has been getting very good reviews lately.
He is what we loved about FQ.
The size is a big thing we loved about this place, we were in Blgd 1 which is the furthest out, quick walk to everything. We liked the the food court. The boat to DTD. And the themeing was beautiful.

I think the savings would sway me. That is a meal at a sit down for us or more souvniers. To me a moderate is a Moderate.

Although the savings might sway me, I would choose CSR. I love CSR and stayed there a few times. Earlier this year I decided to try POFQ. It was cute, but we had a bad experience with housekeeping. I don't know if I would stay there again. I love the decor of CSR and the pool is beautiful.

I tried POP this fall and really liked it. I was hesitant about trying a moderate, but I loved this resort and plan to stay there next year.

Thank you guys for responding. I love CSR, but I like the price on POFQ std view room. Any more who would like to share their thoughts on this one?

I would go for POFQ, even though I haven't actually stayed there (will the end of Jan). Since the resort is more compact it will be easier to get around for you and your kids. I like the look of the resort (walked around there last visit)--very colorful with nice grassy areas.

Either resort should be fine, though.

Just got back from POFQ and loved it. Everything seemed new, clean, and just sparkling after the renovation. Also, it is so small (in comparison with the other moderates). I was in Building 1 (which would be considered one of the "far away" buildings), but was a two to three minute walk from the pool, bus stop, food court, etc. It's so nice, and it really feels like a little community.

Also, the grounds are wonderful. Beautiful landscaping, fountains, and the boat to DTD is great (especially at night). Either way you'll have a great time, but for the theming and the price POFQ is my vote!

and this would be a tough decision. We would choose POFQ because it is smaller and we really enjoy the secluded spa after a long day in the parks. We will be going to POR in January, but only because POFQ was not available with the code when my DW called. The buses pick up and drop off first at POFQ, before going to POR, so you are usually guaranteed a seat going to the parks. The drawback to POFQ is that it has no full service restaurant. The food court is good but you must go up to POR's Boatwright's for a full meal. It is only a 10 minute walk or a short boat ride to get there, though. I will say the DW and I prefer CSR's Pepper Market over the other food courts. As for price, you would be saving money at the FQ you may end up getting a comp upgrade anyway. POFQ has a boat to DTD and CSR has the bus to the Boardwalk so that depends on what you prefer.
Bob "The Piano Man" Jackson performs in the lounge at POR and he is definitely a do not miss act for the entire family! If you decide on POFQ, head up to POR one evening when he is there; you won't regret it.
Have fun choosing and have a great trip!

We've stayed at both CSR & POFQ. I would definitely choose POFQ...my absolute favourite resort on WDW property (yes...I even prefer it over the GF). Good luck with your decision. :D

We have stayed at CSR several times. It is the only moderate we have tried. Have never tried POFQ, but there are consistently good comments on these boards. :earsboy:

POFQ! I love the atmosphere and walking around the grounds. It's smaller. I don't like the food court at CSR. There are beignets at POFQ (not Cafe du Monde ones, but pretty good). Plus, POFQ is cheaper.

I've stayed at both and it's a tough choice. I think I would go with POFQ because it's easier to get around and it's cheaper. I also liked CSR because it's more centrally located but I wouldn't pay more for a water view.

I have stayed at both and my vote would be POFQ. However, when I stayed at POFQ it also had sitdown dining (BTW, the signature salad dressing was amazing!!). I belive POFQ now only has the food court.

I love CSR.....to me its a deluxe without the balcony. I enjoy the hottub and its the only moderate with one. No mattere where you will still be in WDW.

Check out my CSR website for pics, links and info. POFQ is a smaller resort than CSR but I feel CSR has a better pool area. CSR doesn't share transportation with other resorts either.

I also have a choice between the two for the same amount. I have two children 5 and 7. I love boat to DTD and I love the pool itself at POFQ. But I thought the theming might not be too exciting for a 5 & 7 yr. old at POFQ (the mardi gra guy at the pool entrance looked a little scary for kids).
So I decided to try CSR which looks to have a better pool/playground area and I liked the variety at the food court, I also like the beach area. We are driving and taking sand pails and stuff.

I'd loved to get opinions on which a 5 & 7 yr. old would enjoy more. I'll love either.

We've stayed at AKL, BC, POR and POFQ. POFQ is my favorite Disney resort from the ones I've tried.
