Can't decide .... which one would you choose Coronado Springs or Dolphin.

We have gone to Coronado the past two years and just love it there but from what I have read the Dolphin is just as beautiful and it is a deluxe. What do you think?

I haven't stayed at CSR, but I've heard lots of nice things about it. I have stayed at the Dolphin and loved it! The beds are indeed "heavenly", they have a great range of restaurants available right there, the grotto pool is beautiful, service was friendly, and most of all the location is awesome!! It is incredible to be within walking distance of both MGM and Epcot, or within an easy boat ride. The Boardwalk is really close too, and there's plenty to do and see there.

The Dolphin (and Swan) are certainly more expensive than CSR, unless you qualify for a reduced rate by being a nurse, teacher, or gov't. employee. If you can get a decent price for the Dolphin, I'd highly recommend it for you to try. On the other hand, if you decide to stick with CSR, at least you already know that you love it there. :lovestruc

Either way, have a wonderful time! :flower:

There is no comparison between the two.

CSR..a disney moderate. Horrible food, nothing special at all.

Dolphin..a true deluxe resort. Wonderful ammenities, great comfy beds, wonderful bed linens and wonderful food options both within the Dolphin and a very short walk from the Dolphin.

As much as I enjoyed my stay at CSR, The Dolphin wins hands down, no contest. It is truly a Deluxe Resort in every sense. Heavenly Beds, Fine Dining, LOCATION, the Grotto Pool complex, the outstanding Service & amenities. It is our favorite WDW Resort. The views overlooking Epcot, Boardwalk, MGM or Y&B Club are so Magical. Walking to any number of restaurants or in & out of Epcot/MGM can't be beat.

We find it difficult to stay anywhere else since we stayed there the first time.

Save your money. You already know what you like with CSR. Nothing special at the Dolphin except Shula's and an extra $10.00 for the health spa. You get that for free at CSR.

If you can easily afford the price difference between the two, absolutely go for the Dolphin. Just the Heavenly Beds alone would be worth it, but you also get that incredible location within walking distance of Epcot and MGM, great restaurants right in the hotel (including Tubbi's, which is wonderful for quick service), the beautiful grotto pool, and a wonderfully friendly and helpful staff.

p.s. - as others have said, don't forget to calculate in the nightly resort fee, and also nightly parking fee, if you're bringing your car.

It's my understanding that the Resort Fee is no longer being charged, however you will be charged a daily fee to park, if you have your own vehicle/rental car.

If you use a towncar service to get you to and from the airport, ofcourse there would be no parking fee.

Either way, we still prefer the Dolphin over CSR.

CSR is definitely my fave out of the moderates, and I've convinced my SIL and her family to stay there in October. This will be there first trip to WDW ever, and I'm hoping they have an enjoyable experience. I've mentioned to them that I thought CSR has the best main pool out of all the mods, nice food court, etc. They didn't qualify for any of the discounts offered at the Dolphin/Swan, and they didn't want to spend that much money to stay there. I think they'll be very happy at CSR!

For myself, I hope I can always stay at either the Dolphin or Swan. It really has become our favorite while in Disney. :earsgirl:
