The CSR has standard view rooms which can be a view of the parking lot or a courtyard area. They also have water view rooms. They also charge more for a King Bed but do not promise a view.
Because there are no balconies at CSR the view is not that important in our opinion. We have a standard view room booked in Feb.
Rec'd one every time I have been there BUT I have always been there at off peak times. Once we got a corner room waterview and the other 3 times it has been waterview rooms.

I am just wondering if you requested these free upgrades or were you just assigned a water view room even though you only paid for a standard view room?
We paid for a standard view($84) in Sept and recieved a king bed and waterview as we went without our kids. I had no idea the king was more when I requested it on the fax. Did not ask for waterview. We were thrilled with the view from the cabana. I never thought it was worth it to pay extra at POR for a view as we were busy with the kids. BUT from this building at CSR it was definitly worth it for a couples trip. We stood outside and watched the lights turn on at night. The other side of this building was parked cars. Was our first upgrade ever !
