CSR Room Location

I have a standard room reserved at CSR. I want to make a room request on my reservation. Last time I stayed at CSR we were in Ranchos and felt like it was too far away from everything. I want to request a section and building closer to the front of the resort and was looking at either Cabanas or Casitas. Are there standard rooms in Cabanas and Casitas or are they all preferred rooms?

Casitas 4 or Cabanas 9A, 8B or 8A. All are standard rooms and good locations. My personal fav is Casitas 4. It is close to the first bus pick up/drop off, near the salon, fitness centre, not far from El centro and is in a really pretty area, IMO. The quiet pool is right next door and it is only a short walk to the themed pool. It is always my first choice request for a standard location in CSR. The Cabanas are closer to the main pool and play areas for children, though, so if you have young children, you might prefer the Cabanas section.

We like the look of the Casitas section but the location of the Cabanas area. The Cabanas is right between the main pool and El Centro, a great location.

Thanks. Casitas 4 looks like a good choice. When I called to make the request, the CM said there is a place to enter room requests when checking in online. Everything I read says this cannot be done online. Have they changed it so you can make room requests when checking in online?

I don't know about requests when checking in online, but I would have the requests added to the reservation. If the person you sloe to earlier didn't add your requests, I would call back and get someone else to do so.

I like to have my requests noted wherever I can to increase my chances as much as possible.

If it is like GF, you will have a list of the sections Casitas, Cabanas & Ranchos, but you will not have an option to pick a buiding #. I always verbally tell them my requests.

I stayed at Casitas, building 4, last week.

It wasn't a preferred room, but it was a pretty quick walk to the main building, and it was close to bus stop #2.
