My kids will be 7, 4 and 2 when we go in September, I'm just wondering if the pool at Coronado Springs will be enough for them (they looove pools/waterparks) or should I get the WPFM option so we can hit the waterparks a few times and disney quest once while were there. Is the extra $ worth spending? Thanks!

In our experience, no, the water parks were not worth the extra $! My kids are always perfectly fine with the pools at the hotel. Plus, if you have water parks in your area at home, you can always enjoy those when you want to.

The water parks at Disney with small kids involve packing everyone up, getting on a bus, getting there, getting changed, swimming, getting changed again and then getting back on a bus to your resort. That takes at least 1/2 a day! Whereas the pool at your resort you can swim for an hour (or less), your room is close by and then you can easily get back to whatever you want to do for the rest of the day/night.

When my kids are older (teenage years) I'm sure we'll plan a water park day as I think for that age group it's really worth it since they will enjoy riding all the water slides etc.

We spend one day last year at BB when my DD was 5. Yes, it was a fun day but no, I will not add the Water Park and More option to our tickets this year, nor will we book a Water Park day. My DD wants to be in the water and in the end is just as happy with the pool at our resort as she was in the water park and we're at Pop Century so it's just a pool without any slides, etc.

Something you might consider is buying a 1 day water park ticket and planning a day for that. It's lots of fun for a day and would give you a better idea about adding the full option another time but would cost you less, especially with the ages of your kids. I'd be surprised if you got your money's worth from adding the WP&M option to your tickets.

If you go to BB, another option with kiddos your kids age might be trying out the mini-golfing. If you're purchasing a package check your coupons as you may have 1 free round of mini-golfing included in your package. My DD loved it and shot a stunning 400 for only 18 holes! ;) She was pretty proud of herself and we had lots of fun together!

I would not get the water park passes specifically for them; they will think the pool is enough. But, if YOU love water parks and want to go for your own sake, you will find there is plenty for the kids to do there.

Not sure what you mean by "enough for them"...? But I would not recommend Disney Quest for kids that young. It's pretty loud and overstimulating and at those young ages at least two of them might have just as much fun at the hotel arcades without even putting in money.

The CSR pool is pretty cool and the playground there is fun too. Its like a huge sandbox. I think there will be plenty there. I agree they are too young for DQ.

Thanks everyone for their excellent points! I think we will pass on the WPFM option, my kids do excited when we let them fill the tub at bath so I'm sure they will be happy at the resort pool. I also want this time to be less stressful and not as much running around, I know I would jam pack our schedule even more by adding in waterpark days.

I know you already made your decision, but I just wanted to reaffirm that your kids will enjoy the pool at CSR and won't miss anything skipping the water parks.

Our first trip we got a free upgrade with the water parks included in our tickets. My kids were similar ages to yours (9,4,2). We went one morning for a few hours and really felt it was a waste (even though it was free). Our second trip we stayed at CSR and my kids loved the pool and playground area. So much so that we spent a good amount of time at the resort rather than in the parks.

We have gone to water parks and Great Wolf Lodge a few times and we enjoy them, but it was just too much for us during a Disney trip. I even suggested WP for our upcoming summer trip since the kids are now middle and HS age but they still don't want to add it. They think the parks and resort are plenty to do.
