CSR or Swan/Dolphin help please??

If money wasn't an issue and had a chance to stay at the Swan or Dolphin versus CSR in October which would you prefer. It's myself DH, DD(11) and DD(12)?? To much stress trying to decide!

I've stayed at all three, definitely go with the Swan or Dolphin if you can!

CSR is our fave out of Disney moderate resorts, but the Swan and Dolphin is hands down the choice for us!

The S/D location is superb and the transportation is just as good, if not better than CSR.

There is no comparison between the two.
CSR..disney moderate, hard beds, possible long walks to everything, terrible foodcourt.

Swan/Dolphin..deluxe resort, wonderful ammenities, excellent food options, convenient to two parks, comfy beds/linens

I don't think you can charge on your room key like you can at the WDW resorts. That's never been an issue for us because we never took advantage of it. Too easy to overspend that way!

We prefer the Dolphin because it seems closer to the main pool, "The Grotto" and houses Tubbi's the 24 hour eatery, plus the cute "Dolphin Fountain" for ice-cream sundaes, burgers for my growing teen boys, etc. There's also an arcade and laundry facilities at the Dolphin (none at the Swan.)

The Dolphin is much larger than the Swan so the walks to your room from the elevator could be longer, but that's never bothered us. We're already putting on mileage at the parks, what's a few more steps at that point?

The Dolphin is more festive and alive, while the Swan seems elegant, yet understated.

Full size beds (kings size beds are available)

IN THE MIDDLE
The Pepper Market is either a love it or hate it place. We love it but some folks just don't care for it.

Convention resort - some guests don't like seeing other guests at work. Doesn't bother us and helps keep the buses empty. GF, Cont, BW, Y & B Club are also convention resorts.

Is the walk to Epcot and MGM about the same from both S & D resorts? Trying to make a list of all the pro/cons! Although, just the heavenly beds alone wins my vote

We've stayed at both resorts and I'd say the walk is approximately the same. Oh and I'd also say there is no comparison between the CSR and the Swan/Dolphin. Go Swan/Dolphin for sure. You may also be able to get a great rate using the Allears code depending on availability. Check out http://www.allearsnet.com/acc/sd_discounts.htm

Another vote for the Swan/Dolphin, especially if you can get a discount rate. The walk to Epcot/MGM is slightly closer from the Swan, but only by 2 or 3 minutes. It really depends on where your room is in the hotel. The Dolphin is much larger and more spread out

Thanks for all the advice. Going to call and change resorts tonight and keep it a secret until we arrive. Was able to get an airline discount for 30.00 more a night staying at the Dolphin.
