I got an email with a pin code a week ago which works great for us as we will be going February 26th for my daughter's cheer competition. We were going to stay at a value resort but it is cheaper for us to stay at a moderate and we are happy about getting queen size beds.

We stayed at POR on our last trip and would like to try something different and only POFQ and CSR offer queen beds. Pros/cons of each resort?

Port Orleans Riverside also offers queen beds. So in the mod category, CSR, POR and POFQ have queens, with only CBR still being double beds.

POFQ is compact, very pretty and has a nice food court. Its a sister resort to Port Orleans Riverside so you can ride the boat, a bus or walk (about a 10-15 minute walk along the river) over to POR and use any of their pools. The pool at POFQ is a bit small with a very short slide. Its ideal for kids under six. The size of the resort is a big plus since no building is far from the main area/food court.

POR is much larger, has a much larger main pool with a longer slide than POFQ's, it has a larger food court and a sit down restaurant that serves dinner. It has two distinct themes, the Mansions and the Allligator Bayou buildings.

For a lot of information on either of these resorts including a ton of photos and video, check out: www.portorleans.org.

CSR is also a large resort, it has a very nice, very large main pool with the longest slide of any moderate. It has the most dining options of any moderate with a sit down restaurant, a food court that has a full breakfast buffet (that is a counter serve credit if you are on a Dining Plan), another cs place right near the food court that has limited take out items, several bars, an adults only night club and a pool bar that serves food. So lots to eat and drink at this resort!

We have stayed at all of the mods and enjoyed them all, however the one disadvantage to us for POFQ was the lack of quiet pools right there (again, you can go over to POR and use theirs but for us that was not convenient) and the fact the main pool slide was very short and very geared to young kids.

It really comes down to theming. If you don't like a spread out resort POFQ would be best, or you can pay for a preferred location room at either POR or CSR. Just be aware that at CSR, preferred gets you close to the food court and main restaurant, but not the pool. There is a CSR FAQ thread on this board that you might find helpful. Also resort videos on all WDW resorts can be found on allears. I love those videos since they really give you a feel for the resort and rooms.

Good luck!
