My friend was thinking about coming with us to CSR in September (5-15) and there were no rooms left. I checked and sure enough on three sites they were booked. Do you think it will be that crowded? I am getting worried...:scared:. I know it is free dining and all but has anyone ever stayed at CSR when it was booked out and how was it?

There is a big convention from Sept 12-16th...and I think their room block releases on Aug 16th. If rooms aren't to capacity for what they put aside for them then they should be available after 8/16 but I'm not exactly positive.

It is an IRS convention. I just check on their website and the convention starts on 9/16 but their room block starts on 9/13 and it does release after 8/16.

We just came back last week. CSR was booked up.. according to front desk. We had no problems with crowds, etc.. There was a military convention there and lots of army planning guys- plus 2 smaller conventions. Didnt see many of them except first thing in morning- lunch and dinner. in the restaurants- they were on schedules so if you went for later lunch, dinner - there was no line. No crowd at pool.. buses were not crowded either.

I just checked your dates on the disney website and had no problems getting a quote for a variety of dates in Sept., including the 5th through the 12th. By the way, I'm staying one night on the 13th and hoping it's not crowded.

There's a set pool of rooms for travel resellers like Expedia, Travelocity, etc. Often you can get rooms by calling Disney travel that are shown as unavailable at third party sites.

Not sure if it's another indirect cause, but isn't Night of Joy on Sept 7-8th? For fun, I looked about a month ago (too little time to do it realistically, though it would've been awesome for just my wife and I!), and there was some availability at a few places (nothing at a value at all, I'm sure free dining has something to do with that too), but seemed like the pickings were pretty slim overall.

Honestly, less than a month out, I think it might generally be pretty optimistic to expect to find something.
