CSR Info for DDP

Posted on the resort board from a fellow DIS'er who is at CSR this weekend.

Maya Grill - Manager said they are still negotiating and hopefully will be back in next year's plan. Told him that there was a forum full of worried people about Maya Grill not on the list yet and were hoping to see them because they LOVED them.

I wonder who would be harmed more if Maya Grill (and Pepper Market -- they're owned by the same people) opts out for 2008. It would leave CSR with no TS or CS option, but even that might just bias Dining Plan patrons towards CBR or PO instead, so for Disney, only marginal impact, if any. Meanwhile, it could leave Maya Grill (especially) hurting for business as badly as in 2002-2004.

If neither of the restaurants at CSR were on the Dining Plan, it would not alter our decision to stay there. It is our favorite resort and we never eat at Maya Grill anyway. We would miss Pepper Market, but there are many other places at the parks where we can have our CS meals.

I hope it gets added for those that want it but I never participate in the DDP. Too much food!
