When we first started thinking of doing this trip, dh wanted to try CSR even though the kids and I wanted to do CBR again. I am so glad that we did! It was a great trip for us. When checking in, our only request was a grand gathering request for 3 rooms in the same bldg. We were given Cabana's 9A, a very short walk from the Pepper Market and Maya Grill. Though, I could go on forever, I will just highlight a few things.
MOUSEKEEPING - "Maria" was our mousekeeper and she was just about the sweetest young lady we have encountered. She left us a note on the last day thanking us for her tip. We did give a tip everyday as we had 3 teenage girls in one room and she sure deserved it. When we first got to our room we realized we were only left with 2 towels, but that request was cleared up quickly.
GROUNDS/POOL: We loved this resort at night, felt it was very clean and all the CM's were very nice and helpful. The kids did swim at the larger pool one day but for the most part enjoyed the quiet pool just about everyday. I really couldn't get over how quiet and pretty this resort is at night. It was very relaxing to walk around in the evening. The kids enjoyed the hammocks too some days.
PEPPER MARKET/MAYA GRILL: We ate at Pepper Market a few days for breakfast or lunch. The food was good and portions were great. It was pretty confusing the first day they way they do their quick service meals but we finally caught on. Maya Grill gets 2 thumbs up from our family. We actually ate here twice as we decided one day to cancel another reservation and stay at Epcot and then eat here. Both times we were pleasantly surprised at the staff, the quality of the food and how quickly they were to fill drinks, remove empty plates. Both times our meals lasted about 1 hour which we felt was just about right. Portion sizes were great but did lean on the "bigger" side.
If you are thinking of staying here..do it. I was very hesitant at first but glad we took the chance. I don't think there was a convention there the time frame we stayed but the parking lot was virtually empty until about friday the 21st. I would not hesitate to stay here again. DH is already talking about going on an "adults only" trip with bil and sil next year and staying here. We loved it!
