For those of you who are CSR vets opinion needed. Is it worth 600 dollars for buisiness class stay? We have two young children and we have a car rental. Thanks guys.

We stayed in BC at CSR and I would do it again, the location is great, the beds are better, oddly we didn't use the club, our room was a bit always from it. CSR is so large and we loved it, we will stay again and either do BC or a preferred room.

Are you saying it would be $600 more than a standard room?

In that case, probably not, if you're looking for financial value equal to $600. What you get with BC:
  • Guaranteed building location
  • continental breakfast
  • beer, sangria, cookies, snacks between 5-10PM
You can replicate everything but building location for less than $100 in wine and groceries, in all likelihood, at Publix.

We have stayed business a few times and I would probably not stay there again without it. For us the location of the room was first and foremost and the club lounge was 2nd in terms of benefit. I would not pay 600 extra for it, ...well I guess that depends on how long you are staying :))

We have stayed preferred room a few times and luck of the draw were always as far away from everything we could have been and still been preferred. Long walk to the food court and long walk to the pool - in the middle of nowhere! So compared to that we Love where the BC rooms are.

Don't have experience with BC, but we have always been happy in Cabanas section standard room with our 2 kids. We have requested 8A or 8B, and gotten one if those(There is also 9A, which has quiet pool and laundry). They are a short walk to the main pool, close to the bus stop(or parking lot if you are driving), and also a quick, beautiful walk over the bridge to the food court. Everyone is different, so it depends on what you are used to, and how important it is to be closest to the food court(which you are in Cabanas 9B for BC rooms) and have the lounge. As PP mentioned, we get Garden Grocer delivery of food items for about $50 in our room, and don't feel anything is far from our location, so would not spend the extra money. I would check out the CSR thread on here if you haven't and see the map and info. on the first few pages to help you decide.

For a 10 night stay - maybe. We stayed in the business class rooms in February because the standard rooms were all booked. However we got a cast member discount for the stay so it wasn't that big of a difference. (I think it was the same price if I used my annual pass discount for a standard room or if we got the business class room with our friends cast member discount actually)

We didn't buy breakfast the entire trip. Breakfast is around $10 a person so for a family of 4 you're saving about $40 by eating in the lounge. We also took bananas or oranges to the park as a snack instead of buying a snack at the park. Later in the day we would stop by and get drinks (they had alcohol, canned soda and iced tea) and some snacks to munch on. I think you could break even with the $600 difference if you really used the lounge.

You are in the closest building to the lobby/ food court and the bus stop is probably about a 2 minute walk away.

I found Business Class to be very worth it. The location is amazing, but because of that I decided to cancel my rental car. We used uber to get around but my son is big enough to not need a car seat so your mileage may vary.

I think if you plan on using the lounge and other benefits it could be very worth it money-wise, what is your #1 priority for wanting BC?

Main reason was because of location and breakfast. We are rope drop people do not sure I would be able to grab and go with breakfast. The other reason was i was worried about condition of standard rooms as I have read lately. No one has said the BC rooms felt run down. At the time waterview was all that was available so the difference was not at much. Since then standard view has popped up.

For my family, we wouldn't pay extra for BC. We love staying in the Cabanas section and thought it was a nice walk to the main building, close to the pool, and those back bus stops were never crowded. We thought the main bus stop was always crazy busy! My family would get sick of eating the continental breakfast for that many days and if you are not at the hotel during the evening cocktail time, it is sort of a waste of money. If you are going to have a car, you can easily get drinks and food for your room for a fraction of the price. I did not think the rooms were run down.

In October, the lounge closed at 10 pm (Not sure if they close earlier in the winter months). If you are travelling when the parks close earlier or your children aren't up for staying out late, it's a good option because you can take drinks to go or send your spouse to get you something and bring it back. They also have sodas, chips, dips, and cookies into the evening. Some nights there were still dips available at 9 and some nights there were only cookies. I found it very convenient to walk around the corner and grab breakfast before going to Bus Stop #1. For the early buses, there were maybe a dozen people there. I had thought it would just be swarmed but not so much. Maybe we just had good luck but I never thought it was very busy except once and that was an extenuating circumstance that's not likely to be repeated.

Overall you won't save money or anything like that. But you could save time and frustration. But if you are keeping your rental vehicle, you may not need business class at all. With the upcoming refurbishment, some of those rooms can be taken out of the equation anyway. Bear in mind with a standard view you could get anywhere within the resort. It just depends on what's important to you.
