CS receipts with coupons

I was just parusing the boards and was reminded about the coupons that show up on the bottom of CS receipts. Can anyone remind me how they work? are they only useable on the same day? are there specific CS places that offer them? do I need to buy a certain amount of food, or could I buy a bottle of water and get the coupon?

In my experience, you do not have to use them the same day. There is an expiration date on them - but it's the same date for all - whenever the promotion ends. You do have to use them by 1:00 or 2:00 (can't remember which). I think they are only good in certain merchandise stores. I used them in the shops on Main Street and Mousegears for sure.

I know I got them at the Main Street Bakery and Sunshine Seasons, but I think many of the CS locations give them. I got the same promotion on the receipt whether I got a diet coke or a bunch of stuff - so there wasn't a minimum.

I last had them during our 11/2014 trip.

You can get them on receipts from gift shops and stores as well, it doesn't just have to be counter service locations. And it's not generated by the purchased amount. The computer system is told to print it on all receipts. There's no way for it to read "only purchases over $30" or something like that

And like mentioned above, the date to use them by is posted on the receipt and the same for all. So if you get one Dec 1st and it says it must be used by Dec 24th. Then getting one on Dec 23rd will also say Dec 24th.

It's just a promotional thing like some local stores do that has a posted end date.

They just issue them in CS Restaurants during "Peak" times-Disney uses the Coupons to "encourage" Guests to shop early in the day so that the Merch Shops aren't slammed in the late PM/Park Closing hours.

They usually do one in the Spring.

You will get them at CS restaurants at anytime. You don't need to buy any specific food items or total. You can use them on any merchandise except alcohol, tobacco, electronics/DVD/CDs, tickets, gift cards, Disney dollars and anything else on the coupon. And it cannot be used combined with other discounts. That's why I've been giving mine away to random guests. And at the locations listed on the coupon. I'm just saying this because I work in merchandise at one of the stores that take these coupons. Please don't try to push the CM to use the coupon outside of the time frame it says on it. I've had people come in after dinner and try to use them because they were leaving the next day and wouldn't be able to use it.

I have gotten the coupons during busy times, Thanksgiving through Christmas and over the summer. I'm not sure when the next one will come out.

I didn't get any coupons April 1 to April 8. I sure did do a lot of spending too.
