I am hoping you guys can help me as this situation is a major factor on weather we stay at the Boardwalk Inn or switch to the Poly. My family likes to do CS for breakfast before going to the parks for the day. We are big fans of the CS at Pop Century with the good old breakfast platters. What would be the easiest place for us to get a CS breakfast if we are staying at the Boardwalk? From what I see there are not any CS restarants close by.

DH is a huge fan of the breakfast CS at the values and the mods...the deluxe resorts CS disappointed him...we stayed at the Poly a few times and they have the breakfast platters, waffles, tonga toast, lots of pastries etc....

We stayed at the BWI in Oct and the Boardwalk Bakery had bacon egg and cheese croissants that were good and pastries and fruit but that was it...small place and a small selection

This is the only negative we have with BWV or BCV. No place for a CS meal other than the bakery or the tiny inside counter at the BC. We find ourselves zipping over to Pop for CS meals. I know Hurricane Hanna's now offers some different choices, but not for breakfast. This doesn't stop me from staying at either resort, but we know what to expect. Sorry OP.

The epcot hotels really do not have a true CS place. There are a few offerings but nothing really good.

Go to the Poly!

My DS5 nearly had a tantrum when we discovered we unable to get mickey waffles at a CS near or at the BWI this past Nov.

Try explaining to a five year old why he can't have a Mickey waffle in WDW when he knows that he's always had them for breakfast before. Not fun! :rotfl:

We had to order room service!

The only breakfast CS choices at the Epcot resorts are the Boardwalk Bakery and the Beach Club Marketplace, which have limited menus (mostly sandwiches). The lounges at Boardwalk and Yacht Club serve a continental breakfast (no hot food). If you are not on the dining plan, there is Picabu at the Dolphin (which is your best bet for the kind of breakfast you seem to be looking for).

We are dvc members and stay at the BW all the time. Our only complaint is no counter service except for the bakery (which we like) ....So many time we walk over to the land in Epcot where we love to have breakfast. Of course we get annual passes, so it all depends on your ticket selection.

Of course, I have never stayed at the Poly, so I would choose that. :goodvibes

just the Bakery, or table service at Spoodles. We walk over to Starring Roles at the DHS sometimes.

FWIW, I had a delicious, custom yogurt parfait every day of our trip from the BC Marketplace. They also had breakfast sandwiches I think and maybe some sort of egg dish? But no waffles or platters.

Captain's Grille has Mickey waffles on their breakfast menu. Although its not a counter service. I'm going to have to do that at least once on our trip to get the Mickey waffles!!

They also have them at the Cape May Cafe, we did that one since it's a character breakfast.

I just find not having a full service CS available is very annoying in that resort area. It's just odd how the MK resorts have better CS restaurants.
