DH and I both tend to eat lighter at WDW (wish I could stay there a few months and lose those extra ten pounds!), and would like to know if there is any place we can get a lunch entree big enough to share? We'd love to hear your opinions on the CS portions, particularly in Epcot. Thanks!

We had a lamb wrap at the Tangierine Cafe in Morocco, and it was both big enough to share and very yummy!! :goodvibes

The portions at Tangerine Cafe, like the platters, are huge. And SO good.

Epcot is a nice walk to Beaches and Cream as well... we love to share a cheeseburger and a No Way Jose sundae!!!

(This is not to be missed!! Unless you meant "light eaters" as in light in calories...) :lmao:

Now you guys are getting me hungry. :)

And I LOOOOVE sundae's. Thanks for the pic - between that and watching Patrick Dempsey in Enchanted tomorrow I have to find a bib!

Another "vote" for The Shawarma Platter in Morroco/EPCOT! Huge platter filled with lamb, chicken, couscous, tabbouleh, hummus & Morrocan Flatbread. Yumm! :thumbsup2

As soon as I saw this photo, I just knew it was from Wazzo! :thumbsup2 I just love your food porn, Wazzo! :goodvibes

I don't know much about sharing at Epcot, but at AK my sister & I usually share at Flame Tree and in the MK we share at Cosmic Ray's. Hope that helps! :goodvibes

at cosmic rays in MK hubby and I share a burger with the fixin bar and the fries and then we share a salad.......i cant do a burger at the cs by myself they are huge......and delicious......they also have big plates of chicken and potatoes and seasonal veggies for a reasonable price and the chicken is one half....
FT BBQ is also a big portion place. Plenty of food for two.........

It's not sharing, but I've often gotten the El Nino kids' meal at the Cantina de San Angel. It's only about $4, and you even get a drink!

At the Grill section of Sunshine Seasons at Epcot, they have a half chicken that comes wth two sides. Plenty for two people to share, especially if you add a dessert from the bakery. Or an extra side of macaroni and cheese from the soup section. One of the best counter service places at Disney. Most of the places that have burgers we get one combo that comes with fries and one order of just a burger. Plenty for two of us to share. Have to agree that Flame Tree barbecue has huge portions that are also plenty for two people to share.

:teeth: Where will you be dining, Wazzo?! :teeth:

If we can get in, Yak & Yeti, but we have Spoodles as a back up, then 'Ohana dinner, Crystal Palace dinner, Boma breakfast, Tusker House breakfast, Coral Reef dinner, Yachtsman Steakhouse, Yacht Club Galley breakfast, Columbia Harbor House (during our KTTK Tour), Beaches & Cream (of course!), and hopefully Tangierine Café, Tempura Kiku, and Earl of Sandwich.

AND to the OP (just so I'm not officially highjacking this thread) -- don't forget that you can share dishes at any TS restaurant too (that is not a buffet). We do this all the time, and there are no problems. They usually even split it up for you in the kitchen and present it on two separate plates!

Hubby and I are robust eaters, and we find most CS measl to be quite large. IN short, I don't think there are many CS meals that you could NOT share. Definitely Moracco and China, Cosmic Rays, Sunshine Food Court.

I agree with JennyDrake. Before you order, take a look at what people are walking away with. Most CS serve very large portions of fries with their meals.
(As an alternative to sharing, you can ask for no fries and the meal will be cheaper, it is just not posted on most menu boards.)

Thank you for all of the responses. I've eaten at WDW but can't remember the size of the portions. I'm usually too busy trying to get DD and DS to eat to notice but do realize we throw away too much food. I know I should just order less food, but I can't remember where I'm making my biggest ordering blunders. I overorder because I can't remember how much I'm getting and don't want to stand in line forever but it makes me sick to see all the food we waste afterwards. I do remember the hotdogs in MK - I ordered one each for DS(3) and DD(4)!! LOL, they both ate from one so I ended up with a whole hotdog and part of another left over. I wish I had asked to see them before I ordered. Thanks for the help!
