I am either blind or MK has drastically changed their kid's meals? I have only been able to find uncrustables, mac and cheese and chicken nuggets? Really? Not a single burger, pizza or even tortillas we used to get a Peco's Bill? I find that a bit hard to believe. And if it is so - seriously? Do they expect me to order off the adult menu now for my kids and throw half away? We're not health nuts but I find it a bit hard to believe that that is all that they are offering kids at CS places at MK. I am going to have quite some unhappy kids (and unhappy mom if she has to order off the adult menu for them).

Yes, I was unhappy about that too- especially at Peco's Bill.
My kids favorite meal was the Mickey Meatloaf at BOG.

Just depends on the restaurant. I know Pinocchio's has pizza. I'm having a hard time remembering any burgers. Mac and Cheese is their staple.

I'd be surprised if there wasn't a burger somewhere, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of the kids offerings are what you listed - bland and boring.

Thank you, I had overlooked Pinocchio's. They indeed have pizza on the kid's menu. I am still shocked to see their lack of food offerings for kids at CS places. We're not American and my kids are not familiar with mac and cheese (tried it at Disney last trip, they didn't like) it and they do not like chicken nuggets (again something that is not on our menu unless we are in the US and there is nothing else for them to eat). They can do with pizza if they have to. Maybe I'll just move all our ADRs to MK and use CS when we're elsehwere. They'll probably appreciate the variety of different foods at Epcot's F&G.

There are definitely more options in the other parks. The American Pavillion had burgers for kids. I think the commissary in HS did too.

Cosmic Rays in MK has hot dogs and burgers. The hotdog was huge. We could have easily shared. Maybe the kids could split a burger? Same with the hotdogs at Casey's.

We made meals out of different stuff too sometimes - a turkey leg from the cart in Adventureland, the pork shank at Gastons, the fruit and Nutella waffle, etc.

I think the pizza at Pinocchio might be a flatbread pizza. Not sure if that would turn them off.

I am not so much concerned with the other parks as I am with MK (after looking at the MK menus). Epcot will be more than fine for us, they'll gladly eat at the F&G food stands. We've tried hot dogs, but since we're from the country that invented the Bratwurst, they always tell me a hot dog is not a real sausage and tastes fake  They'll eat it if they have to though. My kids are not used to eating much CS food - where did all the Mickey health options go at MK? I still see them at the other parks.

If the pizza at Pinnocchio's is indeed a flatbread, it would be a win win.

I think I am really going to change our ADRs all over to MK so we can have "real" food and not have to compromise on CS and snacks.

The pizza at Pinnocchio's is flatbread - it's pretty much the adult flatbread cut in half.

Peco's Bills has a quesadilla (which by itself is pretty bland but can be made into something better with the toppings bar).

I actually found it easy to split most Adult meals between my son and I. It works better (it may not fill us up as much but it leaves more room for snacking). So that's something you might want to consider - it may be cheaper to buy 1 adult meal to split than 2 kids meals anyway.

Don't forget about soft pretzels!

I think Columbua Harbor House has tuna sandwiches, shrimp, fish, and salads if they like that.

it doesn't look any worse than before to me.

Columbia harbor house (in addition to mac and cheese, nuggets and uncrustables) has a fish & chicken combo, tuna sandwich, garden salad with chicken.
Cosmic Ray's has a turkey sandwich (I am not a fan of CR anyway but)
pecos bills looks like it removed any reasonable kid options which is sucky. I guess the cheese quesedillas were not going over well? I don't know.

I have never been a huge fan of CS in the MK anyway. it's part of why we are doing the DxDDP for first few nights when we are mostly at MK, we'll do a bunch of character and sit down meals and then have CS and less expensive TS the rest of the trip.

I had overlooked Columbia Harbor House, thanks for pointing that out :) That's EXACTLY the variety of different foods I was looking at!

MK was the last place I looked at CS places to figure out where to eat and after seeing what the other parks offered, I was a bit shocked to mostly find PB&J sandwiches and mac and cheese. I have switched our planned sit down meals all to MK now and we'll do mostly CS at the other parks. I think we may even hop to Epcot just for dinner to take advantage of the F&G booths. I just find it incredibly hard to believe though that the one park that is so popular for families with young kids somehow has the least variety in kid's meals. I understand that not every CS place can offer all available kid's meals but if there's about 10 CS places and I am limited to 2 of them if I want something other than chicken nuggets, PB&J or Mac and cheese, there's something wrong..... On the other hand, it's a great strategy to stir families towards TS restaurants....

Last year, we ordered a number of the "Mickey Check" kids meals for our daughter. Sometimes they are in a different spot on the menu. They are the healthier meals for kids, like sandwiches on wheat bread with veggies instead of fries and fruit for dessert. (My kid is a fruit lover, so it's perfect for her. We also liked the "lighter" fare in the heat!) So that might be one thing to look at.

Also, you could consider ordering an adult meal for them to split. This won't work if they like different things, but if they do, it might actually save money. (I.e. if the adult meal is $15 and the kids is $10, you just saved $5 by going with one adult meal over two kids meals.)
