We will be going with our 2 year old daughter and for the most part she is a good eater. She eats lots of fruit and veggies.

My question is we planned on doing Counter Service for lunch and will probably end up doing a few for dinner(I have a feeling we will have a tired child on our hands).

That being said, how prevelant is fruit and vegetables at the counter service restaurants?

The two places that stand out in mind as having good fruits and vegetables were the mainstreet bakery in the MK (You can pick any 2 items -- they have large packages of grapes and other fruits as one option -- we would go there for breakfast and save the grapes for a nice cool refreshing snack). The other place was the CS restaurant in the LAND at EPCOT -- I got a delicious salad there.

A lot of times you can get a side of carrots or fruit instead of fries with a meal. I know we got carrot sticks in a bag at Cosmic Rays with the kids meal. Another thing to keep in mind is that there are carts (I know of at least 1 per park) that has big fruit cups you can get as a snack. Or if you are my DD, you can make a meal out of it. They are not fruit cups like those little snack packs, but imagine a large plastic cup filled with cup up melon, grapes, etc. We got a really nice one in AK by the Safari (there was a cart type thing there.) We also got another nice one in MGM in that area between RnR and ToT.

My little DD loves fruit and there was no shortage in WDW - if you look for it.

I can tell you that my dd loves the turkey pinwheels at Pinocchio Village Haus at MK. They come with sugar free jello and grapes. There are also fruit stands at all the parks.

Are these fruit cups acceptable on the dining plan as a snack?
