Trying to convince my sisiter and her family to go to WDW. They will not be on DDP and have picky eaters to boot.
I know Cosmic Ray's have the Rotisserie Chicken that is big enough to share but cannot come up with other places/meals.

Can anyone help out. I'd like to offer them at least 2 places in each park to eat. They will be staying at a value resort just not sure which one. They will include a 15yo boy(very picky), 2 9yr old girls, a 7 yr old boy and a 2 yo. Bkft will probably be in room.

You can check out my QSDP review (link in siggy) for some ideas. I usually put the cost of the meal in my report.

Besides Cosmic Rays there are quite a few places where you can share meals. We usually do even when on a DDP.

At MKthere is also Pecos Bills with the condiment bar. We shared a taco salad with a lot of toppings.
Also Columbia Harbor House. We should have shared our Shrimp and Fries.

EPCOT-Sunshine Seasons-many meals are shareable.

DHS-Fairfax Fair has 1/2 a chicken for just under $10.

AK-Many items at Flametree and Pizzafari can be shared.

DTD-Cookes of Dublin. Earl of Sandwich is a good value. Sandwiches or salads are $5.95

RESORTS-we had a huge build your own salad at POFQ for under $10 (with shrimp) Their fried chicken dinner is a full 1/2 chicken, again for under $10. I think my DD12, my DM, and myself could have shared that meal. When we are home that's about how much chicken the 3 of us eat.

If I was saving money (and I do when I go to WDW with a DDP or when we visit Disneyland) I would not order any sodas. Just get free cups of ice water. They can add the flavor tubes if they want. I would skip most of the parks CS desserts and save the money for something else later-like a Mickey Bar.

Even when we are on a DDP we still eat many quick breakfasts in our room.

Hope these ideas help.

AK Flame Tree BBQ, large portions and nice quiet seats back behind by the lake.

EP Sunshine Seasons, selections for everyones tastes

DS Starring Rolls has excellent sandwiches. Not much else good at DS

MK Nothing exciting here but Cosmic Rays or Columbia Harbor House are good.

DTD Wolf Gang Pucks express is awesome as is Earl of Sandwhich

POR Love the create your own pasta station. HUGE portions.

CSR Pepper Market, now a buffet so even better. Great food and the only all you can eat CS at WDW that I know of.

What about Bongo's quick service window...Do they still have that?? That would be a different option... Has great cuban food..

I agree with much of what the PPs have said. Please forgive me if I am repeating.

Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD--a pizza ($11-14) can easily be shared between 2 hungry people. They are really big for 'individual' pizzas. I think that this is probably the closest CS restaurant to being a TS. When I was last there, you ordered your food at a counter, but a waiter brought you food and refills to your table for you. The food is delicious.

FlameTree BBQ in AK-the ribs and chicken combo with beans and coleslaw (11.99) is a really large plate of food and could be shared. The food quality is very good, and this North Carolinian is picky about her barbecue.

Tangierine Cafe in Epcot-On every visit, I share the chicken and lamb combo (13.99) with my DS12, aka "the food vacuum." Even though Moroccan food might seem kind of exotic, I don't think it really is. This is my favorite CS anywhere in WDW, and I don't consider myself to be an adventurous eater.

Cosmic Rays in MK-I agree that the rotisserie chicken meal is a good value.

CSR pepper market buffet (breakfast & lunch) is $16.99 for adults 10yrs and over.....for kids is obviously far cheaper, dunno the price thou. But i think its half that. GREAT value! (as mentioned, its 1 QS credit on the DP).

Via Napoli pizza can be shared. one personal size gives you 4 large slices.

Just wondering with Flame Tree: We haven't been there in a long time. Does everything have bbq sauce on it, or is some of it just bbq'd on the fire and then sauce added? Wondering because my DS hates BBQ sauce and I won't be able to get him to eat there if all of the chicken has sauce on it. I remember really liking it though, so would like to go there on our next visit.
Thanks.

No sauce on the chicken but it is smoked not grilled. Just dry rub on the ribs.
