Hi all!!! I am so excited to find the WISH boards:flower1:. I just found them the other day, and I have been snooping, and I finally got the courage ( and the know how) (thanks toystoryduo) to post my journal.

We are planning a trip to disney with my 4 1/2 year old daughter for her birthday in March. The closer the date loomed the more I thought I have got to do something about my weight. I've been yo yoing :yo-yo: for about a year and I have finally set my mind to it.:Pinkbounc

I have joined my local gym and I have started weight watchers. I am hoping to get some encouragement and advice from everyone here. I think that would be great.

I look forward to your comments, and words of wisdom. Thanks for reading. Have a great day!!!!

Crystal

Hi Crystal :wave2: and welcome to WISH!

If you're looking for support and encouragement as you start your journey to a healthier you, then you are certainly in the right place!

May I ask what your weight loss goals are (you can tell me if I'm being too nosy!), and what your exercise program is like? I know there are many WISHers out there who are doing WW, and there may even be a check-in on the WISH board. But no matter what plan each of us is on, we're all here to help each other! If you haven't already, take a look around and see if there are any official check-in threads you'd like to join (exercise, Thanksgiving Challenge, etc...). These can be great motivators!

I see you've already met Tracy (toystoryduo)! She's one of my favorite people on WISH, and she'll always bring a lot of sunshine your way! (LUV YA TRACY! :love2: )

It's so nice to have you here, Crystal, and I look forward to reading all about your progress! Welcome WISH-Sis! :rose:

Hi Kim !!! Thanks for your reply. My weight loss goals.............where should I begin. I would like to lose about 100 lbs (I know that's alot). That number even scares me. But I know that I can accomplish it. I have just renewed my membership at a local gym. I have had one for a year and only used in about 5 times.

I am going to start by going 4 times a week in the morning. I've worked with a trainer to figure out what workout is best for me. I do about 30 minutes of cardio and then I do my weight workout upper and lower body. If I have the energy after that I go back and do another 20 minutes of cardio. Supposedly that is when I will burn the most fat!!! I will also be taking my daughter 3 times a week to go swimming. Since it is starting to get colder here.

Boy I just realized how nice it is to be able to talk about this with someone other than my husband:chat: . He is however very supportive, and so are my freinds, but most if not all of my friends are skinny!! So my weight problem is not top on our list of things to talk about.

Anyway there is my story, Thanks so much for reading. I look forward to any other comments or suggestions that anyone has.

Have a great Day,
Crystal

Hi again Crystal!

I only have 2 seconds to type this, but wanted to let you know that losing 100 pounds is not unattainable! How do I know.........? I LOST 110! :teeth:

You can do it, Crystal! :cheer2:

Hi Crystal,

Thanks for your post on my journal!

Are you doing CORE or FLEX on WW? Either one encourages good healthy habits, and my best advice is look at the little picture, not the whole big thing. When I first started I was thrilled to lose the 2 or 1 lb. at Weigh-In.

Don't think about the 100 lbs. Just concentrate on doing a little bit each week.

Just go at it one day at a time, keep losing small amounts consistently, and you'll make it. baby steps.

Good luck to you!

Hi Crystal:wave2:

Have a great day!:sunny:

Welcome to the WISH boards Crystal! The DISers on this board are fabulous!

WOW!!! This is a great place to be. I wasn't around this weekend, so I was unable to get online. But I came back to so many well wishes. Thank You so much.

So..................my weekend went well. I stayed on plan and I stayed well within my points for both days. I am doing the flex points plan in ww and I was very nervous, but have found that it is not quite as difficult as I had expected. Exercise this weekend was minimal because I was not in town, but I was back at it this morning. It was 35 degrees when I left my house this morning...brrrrrrrr. I'm not ready for winter. But it makes me look forward to our disney trip in March:earsgirl:

Guess I should get back to work. Have a great day everyone!!!!

HiCrystal,

Welcome to the WISH journals. You have a great plan, and a fabulous incentive to get in shape, a trip to WDW. You've made a great start, and I know that you can keep it up.

Have a great weekend,
Beth

Hi Crystal and Welcome to WISH!!!

You'll find more support on these boards than you ever imagined. I can't go a day without reading other people's journals and the goals they are reaching. Hang in there and be patient!

Hi Crystal!

Great job this weekend! Keep up the good work!:Pinkbounc

I'm sending you some extra strength :sunny: today to chase away those 35 degree temperatures! Brrrrr......

Have a great day!

Tracy:wave:

 Hi Everyone and thanks for all your support. I am overwhelmed with the amount of well wishes and support that I receive from my fellow WISHers.:sunny:

As for my day and evening yesterday.................well, I could have done much better:rolleyes: My day yesterday starting out great, I exercised and had a good breakfast, but than I went to work and it was definitely a MONDAY:crazy2: I made some not-so-good choices in my snacking during the day. But I made up by having a really good supper. I skipped snack last night. I went over my points by 6. I guess I could have done worse.

Anyway, I will do better today, and of course I will check in and let you all know how I am doing tomorrow.

Have a super duper Tuesday!!!!:grouphug:

Hi Crystal!

Welcome aboard!!!!:wave2: I am also doing WW with the flex points, so feel free to ask any questions. I've been doing it since last Dec, but then I got REALLY lazy over the summer, tried to just maintain, went on a bunch of vacations, and gained it back. I returned to WISH with a venegance Sept 20th and I am doing well.:Pinkbounc

I found setting goals that I could measure daily really helps me. That way if I have a bad day, I recognize it and try to get back on track the next day. My goals for Oct are like being cheat free for 25/31 days. I know I will cheat some days, but 25/31 is on plan 80% of the time. Just have to see results with that type of percents, right?!;)

I WISH you the best as you start out on your new healthy living lifestyle. WW combined with exercise WILL work. I have seen many of my friends lose plenty of weight that way this year. Just stick with it and you will look great come March!:earseek:

Thanks Sharon for your words of advice and encouragement. I think the thing that I miss most about eating better is having something to "crunch". I am at work right now and I was just craving something crunchy. I had my yogurt for breakfast, sandwich and WOW chips for lunch. But then I was so snacky.........I wanted to crunch. I think a good salad for supper tonight with grilled chicken on it or something like that.

I'm sure I will hunt you down to ask you sooooooo many more questions as I get deeper into this program.

Thanks again Sharon and good luck in your weight loss also.

Have a great day.

Crystal:wave:

Hi Crystal! :wave2:

AAAAAAACK! I'm having a "snacky" day, too!

Congratulations on doing the best that you can with your program! I'm always craving something chocolatey or crunchy, so I usually keep some Zone Bars around for those times. They're not as healthy as vegetables, but certainly not as bad as M&Ms! (I have learned to justify the consumption of just about every food there is if you ever need help in that area, and can find a reason {excuse} to suck down a pure bag of sugar if need be!) :hyper: Hmmmmmm...On second thought, maybe you'd better not hang around with me--I can be such an ENABLER! :teeth:

Have a wonderful day, Crystal! You're doing an awesome job!:cool1:

I know EXACTLY what you mean about needing the crunch. I turn to carrot sticks, M & M Kudos bars (2 pts each), POPCORN (I eat LOTS of that! ) and peanuts are not too bad (40 peanuts = 4 pts). Just a couple of options for you! ;)

I hope your week is going well. Just keep plugging along no matter what!! :Pinkbounc

 Happy Thursday Morning everyone. Thanks Sharon for your tips. I knew about the M & M Kudo trick also the rice krispie treats I hear are only 2 points, and I love those.

Well I'm sorry I didn't get to post any messages yesterday:rolleyes: I decided to take the day off work and go out of town shopping with my mom and my aunt. I needed a little break from the norm. But as for my eating yesterday. Let's just say weight watchers will not be happy. But I am back on the wagon this morning!! So far a yogurt and 1/2 english muffin with peanut butter. Not too bad.

So I'm off to go and check out everyone's journals and do my postings there.

Only 5 1/2 months until Disney!!!!::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo I'm still trying to figure out how to do one of those countdowns that everyone has at the bottom of their postings. Maybe someone can give me a hint.

Have a smiley Thursday:sunny:
Crystal

Hi Crystal:wave2:

How is your Thursday going? I hope that it is a bright and sunny day where you are!:sunny: ::yes::

A day off sounds like fun! I think we'll all need those every once in awhile.::yes::

As for the countdown that you see in our signatures, I think if you go to the technical board, it gives you detailed instructions on how to add a countdown to your signature. It's a great way to keep track of how many days until your next vacation!::MickeyMo

Have a great day! Keep up the good work!
