I am sure this has been answered before but I can't locate the information and search is down-

I am considering the Crystal Place for lunch in August. Looking at the menu on Allearsnet it appears the buffet is mainly salads and fixings for cold sandwiches. The majorityof the people in the group prefer hot food for lunch. Has anyone eaten at the Crystal Place for lunch in last 4 months - if so what was actually on the buffet and did you enjoy you meal.

If it were just myself and DD I would not be worried. This trip is a gift to my sister and niece. Neither have ever been to WDW and I want this to be extra special. They would love the pooh characters but breakfast and dinner don't fit well into the plans. However, I am concerned that they may not find much to eat (except the mini-hotdogs!!) during lunch.

Thanks in Advance

Hi!

We ate at the Crystal Palace for lunch in December. There were plenty of hot items. I suspect they change frequently but I know there is a carving station that had both beef and turkey. I remember a carribean chicken, mashed potatoes, sausage and peppers, hot vegtables, and roasted potatoes.

My favorite part is the little buffet for children containing hot dogs mac and cheese and other items.

It was excellent and I would reccomend it!

We had an impromptu lunch here in August. We were all pleasantly surprised. We enjoyed it quite a bit, we are Pooh Fans. I remember the meal was very good and plenty of choices as well. I also remember that the desserts were good! Sorry, I don't remember exactly what ate, but we were all happy. It was fun.

The Crystal Palace lunch is a mandatory stop on all our Disney trips. We absolutely love it!!!!! There was this excellent citrus marinated flank steak, garlic mashed potatoes. Excellent hot pasta dish with mushrooms and I think asiago or gorgonzola cheese. There was marinated grilled chicken, sausage with peppers and onions, cold salads, great desserts. And macaroni and cheese, pizza and chicken tenders for kids, in the kids buffet area. Plus who can beat Pooh and Tigger walking around and greeting all the guests and doing their parade???.... Hope this helps.....It made me hungry thinking about it!!!!!!

Have a great trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FLo

Thanks to all for your qucik responses.

My sister really wants to see pooh. (more than our girls!!)

What a great Sister/Aunt you are!! You are the kind of person who makes this world a little nicer to live in. Hope you all enjoy your time at the World.

We had a 2:30 PS for lunch at the Crystal Palace for my birthday in August. It was the highlight of my week. Hardly anyone was in there and we felt we had the characters to ourselves during our whole meal. Each one visited our table numerous times. (and we had no children with us...3 adults) All the food was awesome.

They often have fried chicken on their lunch buffett too. This is a MANDATORY lunch stop for me every trip!
