I recently posted this, however I posted it in the wrong section. So I thought I would post it in the correct section.

"My DH and I are flying over from Australia and have booked in to go to the Crystal Palace for Breakfast the morning of the 9th December.

My question is, I am a HUGE Pooh fan (the reason why we are going to the Crystal Palace) and am really looking forward to meeting him, but I have heard that the characters don’t spend that much time with groups without children. Is this true?"

:thanks:

Welley... I travel solo and have always found Pooh to spend as much time with me (perhaps more) at Crystal Palace when I'm alone as when I was with my kids. Of course, I'm his favorite ;). If you want his companion (handler) to take pictures of you, just ask them. I think you'll be pleased with the attention he gives you. Also...it wouldn't hurt to tell Pooh your feelings and how far you have traveled to hug him. He also gives kisses ~ listen carefully when he hugs you. Have fun!

I was just at the crystal palace about a week and a half ago and I was very dissapointed. It was just DF and I. We only saw tigger. He came over took a quick picture and left. No big deal, I just wanted a few pics, but he didn't have a handler to take a pic of everyone. I guess all the other characters were on the other side of the restaurant and it was just taking way to long so we left. I was happy to meet pooh later in the UK pavilion in Epcot, with next to no line.

The last time my wife and I were there without kids, the characters spent just as much time at our table as the others.

All the times I've gone to CP, I've been with groups of just adults. I found that the characters were good at reading how much interaction you want. If you want more than a photo and hug, just start talking to them....I think they'll get the idea you want the same experience as the 10 yr old at the next table. :goodvibes

I know its probably too late now, but see if you can change your ressie for around 10.30 am. Most of the little angels have gone by then, its lovely and quiet and you can have much more interraction with Pooh and co.pooh:

Crystal Palace is my fav. restaurant and it is just DH and myself.

I can say that the characters do spend as much time with you as they do the children.
That said, you have to interact with them though or they take it that you aren't interested.

So if you "act" like a kid, smile huge, gush a bit, ask to have pic and autograph (if you want), they will most certainly interact with you.

Enjoy!!

Yes, and to re-emphasize what PP said, you must "listen" when Pooh kisses you. :goodvibes
