I hear people mention that they like to get early AM reservations so they can get unobstructed picture in front of the castle. Do you go past the castle on your way to CP or afterwards before the park opens? How does this work?

no cp is before the castle but is the idea of u alone for the castle

You go to a turnstile where the CMs are taking the early ADR guests and give your ADR confirmation # and they'll let you into the park (assuming you have a valid admission ticket for the day). You walk "right down the middle of Main St. USA" and turn left at Casey's and head to the Crystal Palace.

After our breakfast, my DD and I went to the castle and walked through it and waited at the rope drop at the back entrance of the cast so she could "wake Tink" (which is no longer offered, sadly).

You can't go to Tomorrowland or Frontierland...just Main St. and the castle.

We did breakfast there w/ 8:15 ressies and it was GREAT! We walked right down main street and took wonderful pictures without a zillion people behind us. We ate w/ Pooh and then when we finished, we went outside and the park had opened, so we were able to start the rides immediately. I would recommend doing this - for certain!

CP is right at the end of main st, so even while you are waiting for your table, you have a great photo op with the castle. Not to mention you have the entire walk down mainstreet that you can snap photos. If you finish early, you might have a few minutes to take pics before the rest of the people are let in. We make an early reservation every trip now, usually our first morning there. It's a great way to start the day.

As you walk down Main St., you can take pics w/ castle behind you, and there will be photopass photographers there who can take some of your whole family, and you can ask for the magic shot w/Tink in your hands(check stitchkingdom.com for more info. in their photopass guide) It is so nice to get pics unobstructed by crowds - you will see the difference later in the day! You can also get nice pics from the front of CP w/ a different view. Brft there is wonderful too - it's our fave!
