Crystal Palace twice, or somewhere else?

I have two ADRs for Crystal Palace, one breakfast, one lunch (on different days). If I cancel the lunch one, where else would you recommend in MK for a TS lunch or DTD for TS dinner? (We have the DDP and this is one of our TS meals.) Or is Crystal Palace worth going to twice and I should just leave it alone? Thanks!! :goodvibes

We really like CP (maybe our favorite), but we're going to do CP for dinner one night and try Liberty Tree Tavern one night. I read (mostly) good things about LTT, and since we've never been before, it will be something different...different meal style, characters, types of food etc.

Just a though! :)

Personally a restaurant would have to be just amazing for me to want to go twice, especially b/c I never can fit in all my choices. Especially when you will see the same characters at both meals. If you want a TS at MK, LTT has a nice lunch as does Plaza. In DTD, how about Raglan Road for dinner, or Wolfgang Puck Cafe?

We ate at CP three times in 2004 (one lunch and two dinners) and DS (1) did not tire of it at all. Those were his favorite characters and the atmosphere was great!

That said, we are branching out this trip and going to CP once, CM Brekfast, CM Dinner and a LTT Dinner. I wanted to fit in CP another time, but with our schedule the only day it worked wsd on our last day for breakfast and dinner. We decided instead of going twice in one day we'll do CM for breakfast and CP for dinner.

LTT is pretty good. The character interaction is nice if that's what you're looking for. The service leaves a bit to be desired but...

With so many choices I personally would not eat anywhere twice. I like to experience all that I can and my goal is to eventually have at least tried it all. With that said, at the MK we eat at the CP and LTT every trip. I say go to LTT. Different food, characters, and experience. You'll never know unless you try it.

I tried, but LTT is booked for dinner that day. Maybe we'll have counter service for lunch, and try for dinner in DTD. Since it's during free dining, I should probably start calling right now for an ADR.

Thanks so much for your input!

We may be a minority, but my whole family loves CP and we like to eat there twice every trip! (my parents and single brother travel with my family alot- including myself, dh, and ds6 and dd8) We tried LTT our last trip and were very disappointed in the food. We also tried Chef Mickey's for breakfast and LOVED it- doing dinner on arrival night this trip! We just love the choices and quality of the food at CP! Good luck in deciding!:goodvibes

Have you thought about a meal at 1 of the monorail resorts? Or, maybe Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge (a short & delightful boat ride from the MK).

DTD for dinner, House of Blues or Wolfgang Puck Express

We skip over to the Poly and do Ohana when we're in MK for the day. I'd recommend doing that rather than twice at CP.:cool1: Or do a counter service for later lunch (say Pecos Bills) after a full breakfast at the CP. YUM YUM.:woohoo:

I would try a new restaurant rather than go to the same one twice in one trip, even if it is for different meals.

Maybe try one of the hotels on the monorail line as was suggested. Or take the boat to Whispering Canyon Cafe. Fun and good food.

I'd do a monorail resort restaurant as well. Chef Mickey's at CR (if you're looking for characters), Kona Cafe at the Poly or GF Cafe at, well, the GF.

It depends on how long your will be at the world.

Our next trip is 10 days. I really want to try CP for dinner. My family wouldn't hear of skipping our traditional CP breakfast, so we are doing both next trip :cool1: . We still have plenty of time to check out new (to us) restaurants.

I would go some where else for lunch or dinner. I would do a counter lunch and table dinner.
**1) Liberty Tree Tavern. We have had several good experiences there. Family-style, good food, always good service, great character interaction!!
2) Chef Mickey (walk over to poly). Great buffet.
3) Whispering Canyon (take the boat to Wilderness Lodge). We love the food, the service, the atmosphere!
4) Trails End at the Camp Ground (take the boat). Buffet, lots of good choices.

Note: We are in the minoirty on this one. We really love the CP for breakfast and was not happy with the lunch. There are endless good choices for breakfast and the character interaction is very good. We really did not think the food was good at lunch. Again, we are aware that we are not the majority on this one. Bottom line, is there are so many good places to try in the "World". Go for something different!
