Hi. We (Me, DH and DD12) are going to WDW(!!!) in April. DD loves Piglet  and so we are going to Crystal Palace. I have read different stories on it and am wondering if it is too "young" for my DD :rolleyes2 .

Also, we currently have ressies for these restaraunts and wondered if you have any comments (Yay and Nay) for them or if we are missing the good ones:

Chef Mickeys

Boma

Marrakesh (thinking of changing)

Crystal Palace (duh!)

We are also considering:

Coral Reef (living seas)

Electric Umbrella (Epcot)

Sci-Fi Diner (MGM)

HollyWood and Vine (MGM)

Garden Grill (Epcot)

RosenCrown (Epcot)

Liberty Tree Tavern (MK)

Rainforest Cafe (AK)

Should we add any of these????

Thank You!!!!!

I am 27 and usually don't like most character meals, but I LOVED the Crystal Palace breakfast. I would do that instead of Chef Mickey's, Liberty Tree Tavern, or Garden Grill. But I don't like to do more than one character meal per trip. Ask your daughter how she feels about the characters. You'll have better service and food elsewhere.

I'd recommend Le Cellier in Epcot, Whispering Canyon Cafe in WL, and Kona Cafe at the Poly.

Absolutely not! My DS14 asked to do CP on our trip this summer! We ate breakfast at Chef Mickeys in January. There were 7 of us and the youngest was my DS14. All the characters spent equal time with as as they did with the toddlers. Your daughter will love it!!!

My dd12 just said "no, your in disney world." However I would like to add that we like CP better for lunch than breakfast.:goodvibes

Not at all, especially if she likes piglet, but you know your daughter best! - we plan to go in August with a 14 year old and a 12 year old - they both love the place!! My 14 year old loves Eeyore!! :)

we loved CP, I think all character meals will get any age excited, it's not like you see this all the time. As far as some of your other choices, I have read all over to NOT do Electric Umbrella. We did Hollywood and vine for dinner, it was okay, I don't know if I would go back. We also did Coral Reef, it was good, not great, but it was good. Had really good steak. We did Liberty Tree and it was good food, we enjoyed it, loved the character interaction, that was great. I wouldn't recommend Rainforest Cafe, it's good food but it takes a long time for service and not worth it. I also hear that Rose and crown are good.

14 is not too young. My 42 year old hubby loves CP and made sure I booked it again this August. He even marched around with Pooh and friends. She will love it. As you see with my signature picture, Hubby had a ball there.

Miles, 8, says "no way Mom!" to pooh costumed characters in any venue, though he still likes the Pooh ride in Fantasyland.

He's not much into any costumed characters anymore.

we booked it for breakfast for our September trip ... I'm 23 and am thrilled!

Tigger watch out - I'm gettin' a hug!

CM is also one of our favs keep that one!! I have never been to Boma or
Marrakesh so couldnt help! I hear Boma is very good though!!

Here are some good ones i think you should try from your list: Sci-Fi Diner, Garden Grill, and Rainforest Cafe!!

These are some of the ones from your list i have been to and didnt enjoy: Coral Reef, and Liberty Tree Tavern!!

Chef Mickey's is a must for both breakfast and dinner. We also enjoy the Kona Cafe and Concourse Steakhouse. The food at the Liberty Tree Tavern is good but you can get more selection at Chef Mickey's and go get it yourself, instead of waiting for your server to bring you more. The Electric Umbrella is a counter service place and isn't worth it. I personally do not like the food at the Sunshine Seasons in The Land, but they have much more of a selection than the Electric Umbrella. Sci-Fi is interesting but most of the food is just "eh". My mother recalls the onion rings being pretty good; they also have an interesting selection of alcoholic beverages. We personally did not enjoy the selection at the Crystal Palace, but if you have a Pooh/Tigger/Eeyore/Piglet lover in your group, it might be worth it. We tried Tony's Town Square this trip and we were not impressed. I hear bad things about the Rainforest Cafe and we haven't been there in years because of the various menu changes. My aunt and cousins went to Narcoossee's and liked it alright. My parents liked the Whispering Canyon Cafe.

I believe the atmosphere and food choices @CP would appeal to most any age. My youngest will be 19 (!) on our next trip and we will certainly dine @CP. I hope you have a wonderful trip!

My DS (almost 14) requested we go back to CP when we go to WDW in October. We have not been there since he was 6. Honestly, his view is that when you're a teen you get a pass on being considered dorky for loving the characters when at WDW. He also thinks that you never really outgrow characters if you truly are a WDW lover, so eating with them is even better. In other words, CP is not too young for your 12 yo DD.
