Crystal Palace Reservation Question

My family is planning a character breakfast at the Crystal Palace on the morning of Jan 12th. We are staying at VWL and we understand that the boats and buses don't leave on a frequent basis until closer to MK's opening time. If we were to get a reservation b/w 8:15 - 8:30 am, what would be the best mode(s) of transportation to get their on time? (We will not have a rental car.) What time should we plan to leave VWL?

We did this a couple years ago and were given some incorrect information by hotel staff. As a result we arrived at least 30 minutes past our reservation.

Thanks,

I am concerned too about this. We have a ressie at 8:05 in September there before the park opens and we will be at Sports. We will have a rental car, but I really want to use Disney's transportation. We have two other breakfast TS scheduled as well and I just know we will probably end up using our on rental van, and our gas!!

Buses run early for character meals...No need to worry at all...

There is a direct bus from WL to MK that runs in the morning...I would be at the bus stop no later than 7:30 in order to get to the park in time...Make sure you have your reservation # handy...They will check your reservation at the gate because you will be gaining early entry...The boat also runs early but it takes a bit longer in the morning...You would have to be at the boat launch by 7:15 to ensure you are there on time.

Same thing for leaving from the Sports...Be at your bus stop around 7:00... There will be a bus to take you to the park for your reservation...You also need to have your name/ADR checked before entering the park...

Entering the park early usually does not take much time at all because there should not be lines at that hour...Still need a minute to have bags checked, another minute to have ADR checked, and actually putting tickets through..This process takes all of 5-10 minutes at the most.

You explained this so well! I have been wanting to know the exact same thing and have been worried sick about getting my kids and hubby up early enough to catch that first bus. Thank you SO much!!! :thumbsup2 We have a breakfast @ Crystal Palace Aug 5 at 8:05. Woohoo so excited!

We stayed at WL & also got a bus about 7.30 for our early CP breakfast. Just check the night before with guest services if you want to confirm times of buses.

All of the above is true. We did not have any of our ADR #'s checked when we entered early though. It was soooo cool to be the first one on an absolutely deserted Main Street. We got Pixie Dust to make wishes as we entered the MK also. As we were finishing breakfast at CP we watched the crowds as the MK opened officially.

not a problem, we always do CP before opening we eat then shop, take pictures, how often can u get pics with nobody around.

Thanks for the info! I feel much better about making an early breakfast reservation!
