Hi,

We have an advanced dining reservation at Crystal Palace for Breakfast at 11:20am. (We have little ones so we wanted plenty of time to get them dressed and ready to go). Okay so that's great and all, except lunch starts at 11:40am. That only gives us 20 minutes to eat.

Has anyone been there during the change over times? If we are still hungry can we go up and get lunch food? My family is full of slow eaters, and I'm worried that 20 minutes will not be enough for us to all eat and be satisfied.

I have read that the character breakfast at Crystal Palace ends at 10:30am and lunch buffet begins at 11:30am.

DisneyJen is correct. Check yur ADR's, maybe they gave you a lunch slot?

I agree with the above posters.

I know I have waited for the lunch to open at 11:30 several times and there was no one inside from 11:15.

That said, keep that ADR, I love CP then. No lines, in and out but you definately get to see all of the characters and I think their food is one of the best buffet's on property!!!

The last PS for breakfast is at 10:30. A little while after this, one side of the buffet will be closed and broken down to reset it for lunch. The other side will still have all the breakfast stuff until about 11:15 or so and then that side is broken down and set up for lunch. And yes, if you are still there when the changeover occurs, you can help yourself to the lunch items.

Does this happen seasonally? We usually go during low season but it wouldn't surprise me during the high season they make ADR's right through the day.

CP never really shuts down between meal periods. The last breakfast PS is at 10:30, so you can show up as late as 10:45 and still get in. The last lunch PS is at 2:45, but dinner then starts at 3:00. So, there is a slight break in between meal periods, but you wouldn't really notice it (around 11-11:30 the restaurant does start to empty out, but that's it).

Call WDW Dining (407-WDW-DINE) and tell them you want an earlier reservation. Or, lunch at Crystal Palace is great also!

I was just wondering if you have a ADR at the restaurant (3p.m.) and you are going to the party, can you get in at that time or a little before?

I thought 4pm was the earliest would let you in for a hard ticket event.

I agree with above posters - it sounds like you have a lunch seating.

There really isn't a "break" between breakfast and lunch. They pull the stuff from one side of breakfast and replace it with lunch. Then, they do the other side.

The problem with late breakfasts at CP is the switch to lunch. If you have a 10:30 seating and don't get seated until 10:45, then wait for your server to order your drinks, there is still time to get a plate full. But if you eat slow and want to go back for seconds, you might be out of luck. It's happened to me.

So, when I have a late seating, I make sure to fill the plate with more than I think I'll want. :)

We book CP for lunch at 11:30 almost every trip and what I must be thinking of is that they won't seat you early because I know I have had to wait with many others until they open for lunch. We are almost always the first to be seated and I've never noticed anyone there when we were seated.

Do you mean get into the park at 3:00p with just your party ticket? Or do you mean will they let you into the restaurant at 3:00p if you have an ADR?

Yes, they'll let you into the restaurant at 3:00p if you have a 3:00p ADR.

No, they will not let you into the park before 4:00p if you only have the party ticket. They are already giving party goers 3 extra hours as it is so they do not let you in before 4:00p.
