Hi there - big fan of this site! We are two adults (late-20's) going on our first Disney trip ever from December 9-18. We're torn between Crystal Palace for breakfast or Tony's for lunch in MK. We're on the deluxe dining plan, are big Disney fans, and my partner loves the Lady and the Tramp. But we would also love the opportunity of walking in MK before it open for a breakfast at CP - we are neutral about the Pooh character experience, though the food and atmosphere look nice. Which of the choices is recommended most for us? -- we can't do both as we already have reservations set for every signature restaurant at WDW including the castle. Thank you very much!! - you guys rock!

I can't really offer too much since I've never done Crystal Palace's breakfast but we did have lunch there and I really wasn't overly impressed by any of it. The food was not that great by any means and I'm not a huge fan of Pooh. I wish we would've done Tony's and on our next trip I'm planning to do that (plus CRT for breakfast). Good luck with whatever you decide! You are going to LOVE it!

I'd probably opt Crystal Palace for breakfast (the only meal worth eating there IMO). We have two kids though. We like Tony's too though. We're doing both in September when we go.

We've been to Tony's twice, once for lunch & once for dinner. It wasn't very good either time. (I'd hoped the first time was an off night so we tried it again.) We won't go back.

We're going to Crystal Palace for breakfast next month before the park opens. Haven't tried it yet. It'll just be nice to see the park without huge crowds, if nothing else.

Characters are just there..If you don't want them there.Jut nod and smile.. But there is no place better for breakfast other than Tusker.. If you can think of it for breakfast its there.Nothing better than being there in the park early morning. It will be the best experience you will have that whole day.Dinner is dinner.. We are doing Tonys this time our first.. Only because we will open the park with them at Crystals and eat dinner there so we do not leave the park on the only day it is open until 11pm..Most people schedule their days like that..You are young and Crystals will be fun for you..We are 56 and had the best time ever by ourself's at both Tusker and Crystals. Going back this Jan with grandkids again and it cannot get here soon enough on our first morning and going to Crystals..Sets the tone ..

LOVE CP breakfast before park opening!:thumbsup2 CP has an omlet station and will also make chocolate chip mickey pancake to order. They also have something they call a puffed french toast but it really more of a deep fried donut-so good! And lots of fresh fruit if you prefer healthy.

Tony's is OK but not an overwhelming Lady & Tramp theme-just a fountain.

I recommend CP before park opening! We have ate both places.

CP - was typical breakfast fare but good breakfast fare.

Tony's - was ok, DH loved it but he is picky eater with bland taste buds. I did like the sauce at Tony's.

:goodvibes

CP is our favorite breakfast in WDW. :thumbsup2

We ate at Tony's twice. It was bad both times. Never again.

Always enjoy meals at CP. Never have eaten at Tony's. Always come across bad reviews. Would recommend going to CP.

We ate there last year and loved it so much we are doing it again this year.
Have not eaten at Tony's so I can't give an opion on the place.

You'll be happy with that choice. We always have a good time at CP.

DEFINITELY CRYSTAL PALACE!!!! food is quite good there, yes even the lunch/dinner! Its quite delish. And the characters are adorable and fun.

Tony's was the worst meal we've ever ever had at disney. It was disgusting. Never again. Something about their tomato sauce in dishes totally ruined it. I tried my son's meatball and couldnt swallow it, it was that gross. My chicken parm was inedible as well. I complained and actually got my money back from disney a while later (which i told them i was not after or expecting!). I would never recommend the food at this place to anyone.

We have never eaten at Tony's, but Crystal Palace has been a staple of ours during all of our trips to WDW over the past 14 years. The food has always been very good, and it has always had the reputation of having the best food at the Magic Kingdom. Unfortunately you'll be paying a premium because of the characters, but for us it's worth it. That being said, it's been a few years since we've been there, so I'm assuming that the food is still the same.

Have done both and would definitely choose CP. It's pretty good for a buffet with a nice atmosphere. Real clincher on the choice is that we will never return to Tony's again.

I feel like a broken records that I've said this so many times on this board, but bad service and Italian food that is worse than any of the popular Italian chain restaurants.
