Crystal Palace or Chef Mickey's?

We know we want a character breakfast our first morning. We'll be going to MK that day and I'd like to keep it close to MK. However, it's a toss-up for us which characters we'd prefer to meet (Fab 5 vs Pooh and friends).

So, taking characters out of the equation....

Which breakfast do you prefer (based on food, ambiance, and service)? Chef Mickey's or Crystal Palace?

Another vote for Crystal Palace!! The food is sooo much better and the atmosphere is too.
We were rushed with the characters at Chef Mickeys and the food was BLAH!!

YESSSS!!

CP breakfast is really good. And if you can make an early enough ADR (say, 8:05 or 8:10), you can take photos on a nearly empty Main Street. Bonus!

Based on food, ambiance, and service Crystal Palace wins hands down!! Chef Mickeys isnt that great IMHO.

Definitely CP - you look right out onto the castle, and sunlight shines through all the windows above-beautiful setting. Also, as PP mentioned, you can get early pics on Main St., and when you're done brft. you're already in the park, and can jump right on the rides! The chef makes omelettes and mickey waffles made-to -order right on the buffet line. Round that out w/being able to bounce w/Tigger - can't wait to be back there in Nov.!

That being said, my DS11 would vote for CM to be able to take the monorail right into the building!

While I think there is little difference in most WDW eateries within the same category, I'd pick CP WAY over CM. My last experience was CP for breakfast, CM for dinner. Adjust your expectations accordingly.

CP all the way!! Puffy French Toast- so awesome I go there just for this! Its like deep fried french toast, almost donut like.

Def CP....However, I am glad we did go to CM last time we went just for the experience....I would not go back, but glad we did it.....CP is my fav characters so I for one would do this one over and over, the food was good, the characters are great and they spent a lot more time at the tables than at CM...
