crystal palace or 1900 park fare?

I get to pick a random disney restaurant for my birthday, and I think I've narrowed it down to these two. Dunno yet if my work schedule will allow for breakfast or dinner (assuming we can even get seated at all and don't have to celebrate my birthday in february. :P)... but both options sound good at both restaurants. So which would you choose? Character interaction isn't all that important... though it is one of the reasons I chose these two (who says two 20 year olds can't go have fun with the characters?) The quality of the food matters the most to me.

Crystal Palace for the atmosphere! Characters aside, this is a much brighter, bigger, relaxing place--I felt so trapped in noisy 1900 PF (even though all 3 kids enjoyed it). Both places have great food.

1900 Park Fare! We did Park Fare on our last visit and CP the time before. The food at 1900 Park Fare was so much better and the interaction too. We love the place! :cool1:

Another vote for 1900 park fare!! The food is wonderful, love the characters, and its inside the Grand Floridian!! We also eat breakfast and dinner there at least once if not twice.

We love 1900 Park Fare, Breakfast or Dinner. As the earlier poster mentioned, we prefer the menu here. Also, our experience was that the wait, even with ADR's, is less at 1900PF, it's easier to just run in and out, and they never seem to rush us.

That said, if you're already in the MK, CP is fun too!

Enjoy and have a great birthday!

If your decision is based on the food only, I would vote 1900 Park Fare. We did both restaurants last week and the food there, I believe, is superior to CP. Although there is nothing wrong with the food at CP, I just loved the fresh pastas at 1900 Park Fare. Whatever you choose, it'll be great! Have fun!

1900 Park Fair is my vote- Love it- Great Food- Too bad they dont have the villians anymore there :guilty:

CP. I love the lightness of the restaurant and the character interaction there has always been good for me. I am going again next week so I will let you know if my impressions change.

They're both good but, I vote for 1900 Park Fare.

If your kids love the characters from Winnie the Pooh then I would go with Crystal's palace. Other wise I would go with 1900 Park Fare - I enjoy the food and atmosphere much better.

1900 Park Fare is has a slightly more sophisticated atmosphere due to it being inside the Grand Floridian. The food is pretty good for a buffet also.

well I couldn't get 1900 park fare (But then again, I was suprised to get anything seeing as how I was trying to make an ADR today for the 8th) But I did manage to snag a late dinner at Crystal Palace. I'm not a big cinderella fan (*gasp*, I know, shocking), so I think dinner with pooh and the gang will be fun since I always loved them as a kid. I'm used to budget, sale food, so I'm thinking even if the food there isn't quite as good as at 1900 PF, it'll still be much better than what I'm used to. :P Glad to see theres not an overwhelming majority for one or the other though.

I am surprised you couldn't get a table even at this late date. This summer i changed my ressies 3 or more times for 1900 park fair including adding 2 more kids at literally the last minute. ( We spent the day with my friends kids and the 4 of them wouldn't be parted). I have only eaten lunch at CP but it was excellent too so you really can't go wrong.
