I am starting to plan which restaurants to eat at for our upcoming August 2010 trip. I was thinking of going to the Crystal Palace this trip since we have never been there. Which do you prefer breakfast, lunch, or dinner. What are some of your favorite things on the menu? This may help the family to make the decision. Thanks!

Take CP for Breakfast. Make reservations for 8:05, if the park opens at 9, then you get in and can get some great pictures in front of the castle with no one but you in them.

We have been to breakfast and dinner many many times...breakfast is always awesome but dinner is just eh...the food is overly salty and the noise level is just out of control.

We had lunch at CP in September and really loved it. It was our favorite TS of the trip. My daughter tries to eat healthy and was pleased with the large variety of salad offerings. The rest of us enjoyed the mashed potatoes and the flank steak and pork roast at the carving station. The flank steak was the best thing I ate all week! Never had breakfast or dinner so I can't compare.

It was in the low 90's the day we ate at CP and it was really nice to get in A/C and out of the mid day heat!

We had a 9:40am ressie last October. It was the normal breakfast buffet items. They had lots to choose from but never got a chance to see everything. My kids are pretty pickey eaters so we always stick to the basics. I will tell you that it was AT LEAST a 50 minute wait (in the sun) and when we got inside they said it would be an hour and a half for all the characters to come around. It was a nice time for the kids but just too long in our opinion. Would probably try again in a few years but maybe at a different time of day. Have fun!

Been there for three times for lunch and dinner. From what I remember, there's no or little difference between lunch and dinner. We love the carved meats and the variety of cold salads. There's about a dozen or more different cold salads that are unique combinations of veggies, cheeses, flavors, dressings etc...

Quite good food for the price and for the convenience of being located centrally in Magic Kingdom... we like Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch... for the same reason -- great food and location.

I like that we can do a character meal at Crystal Palace for lunch. We like to do other character meals for breakfasts.... and save our dinners for many other places in Epcot and places at the resorts only open for dinner.

We loved our pre-opening ADR at CP. Bkfst was fresh and so good. The Pooh's Puffed French toast is sooo good!

Crystal Palace brkfst is our favorite - a "must do" for us - love the puffed french toast :worship: We also get an 8:05 am adr on a non-emh day - makes for good castle pics + we're done in time for rope drop. We also tried CP for dinner last year & thought it was just ok - we'll probably just stick to CP brkfst.

LOVED breakfast when we were there in February. The food was great, and we loved having an ADR time before park opening and got great Main Street photos.

mmm breakfast is good...but their lunch/dinner buffet is good..good salads...they have a quinoa salad that I love..and they have another salad that I cannot remember the name of and theyhave this cornsouffle thing thats good...most of the side dishes were delicious...I can't remember the meats specifically...but I remember also they have good desserts..there's this coconut flan that I think I ate like half of the pie last time. :littleangel:

We were at Disney World in October and had breakfast at Crystal Palace. It was one of the best meals we had the whole week. :thumbsup2 Of course it could have been that I was very hungry that day because it was the first day I was able to chew after having an emergency root canal the day before leaving for Disney.:rotfl2:

We love dinner at CP but that is mainly because we are not breakfast people, or at least not until around 10am and at that time we aren't ready to sit for a meal. We love the cold salad selections, carved meats, mashed potatoes and of course deserts.

Haven't had their breakfast (Boma's is too good), but the four of us all thoroughly enjoyed (all right ... loved) CP's dinner. It was a fabulous selection of very delicious food, and is now a must-do on every trip.

We have not gone to CP for breakfast b/c we do other character breakfast and happy that they have lunch charater meal here. We have gone here 5x for lunch and it was a great selection of food...something for everyone. Great salad and have a wonderful salmon.

The Crystal Palace is my favorite place to eat in disney. The characters are great! I love the lunch/dinner menu! The corn bread is to die for!!! They put all of this great stuff in it, yummy yummy yummy

I havent been for lunch or dinner, but the breakfast is my favorite.

Do NOT miss the Puffed French Toast! It's like a cross between french toast and a donut. Yummy!

The pastrami smoked salmon is excellent, but it kind of clashes with a lot of other items.

AVOID Pooh's Breakfast Lasagna. :crazy2:
