Crystal Palace on Sept 28th

So we check in for our reservations at crystal Palace for dinner at 630 or so for our 700 reservation. This is our first time in disney and we had dining plan. They were so far behind it was crazy. We waited and waited and finally got sat down at 830 for our 7pm reservations. It was a miserable wait. The kids were hot and tired. We had been up since 330 am as it was our first day there and we flew down early that morning. My husband is a diabetic and we thought we would be eating a lot earlier. Good thing I carry snacks and juice for him in my purse. Then we get in there and the food was just so so. I don't think we will eat there again. The kids did enjoy meeting tiger and poo though. The rest of our reservations were right on time all week if not early. We loved chef mickeys and planet hollywood.

Sorry you had a bad experience. CP lately has been running really behind for adrs.It is very popular and has gotten moreso since LTT got rid of the characters and it is Free dining

wow that was a late time to be taken in........I think you should of gone up to the window and explain about your husbands condition. I make reservations according to my day too......I am a diabetic and if I didnt have a snack I would of not felt that great too...
Sorry about your first days experience. We usually love CP's food.

What a bummer. :-( I'm sorry you had that experience...especially on your first day of your first trip to WDW!

Crystal Palace is seriously one of my least favorite restaurants in WDW. The last time we ate there I swore it off forever.

I'm sorry about your experience...not a great way to start your first day. We totally avoid all lunch/dinner buffets (with exceptin of Biergarten and Cape May Cafe) after two really horrible experiences at H&V and the last dinner we had at Chef Mickey's. We will only do breakfast at the CP...and it is our favorite breakfast every trip.
