Crystal Palace Not a Magical Place to Eat!

I live here in Florida near the Mouse! So I go to Disney quite a bit.

I went to the Crystal Palace for lunch today the service was the pits. Plus the food was not up to par as well.

Chef Mickey I would pick over this place. Tony's in the Magic Kingdom is over rated as well. Hope this feed back will help you out.

I never have heard anything good about Tony's though. So if it is overrated it must REALLY stink.

Hello. I have the Crystal Palace on my list for ressies in December. Can you elaborate more about the bad service. I know it is a buffet so by bad service I am assuming that the waitstaff didn't refill drinks and clear your plates, etc?

Oh wow that stinks that you had a bad lunch.
We were there last Sept. and we thought it was great, our server was really good too.I have it down for 2x on our next trip because i was figuring on eating there then seeing spectro & wishes.(also I am limited on places to eat because I have a REALLY fussy 12y/o )

Sorry you had a bad meal. Crystal Palace is one of our favorite places to eat on-property. We think it's one of the best buffets.

We've gone 2-3 x per trip every year for a the past 15 years. I guess we've been fortunate to always have above average service and good food. Sorry that your meal was less than magical. Curious, you said you go to Disney quite a bit, had you ever been to CP before and what was so very different? We're scheduled to go 3x this year, and we still will. As many great experiences as are had, there unfortunately will be a few negative ones as well. Hopefully your next time will be better.

We did the CP breakfast in Jan 07 and had great service and excellent food. Sorry you had a bad experience.

The people were just rude from the server to the person checking us in.


The service to get a refill was like pulling teeth.

They have chicken not fried right off the spits.

They have flank steak which was the best part of the meal. They can make it well done and throw it back on the grill right behind them on an open flame.
Or you can have it still moooooooooooooooooing-lol.

The seafood was not that great my friend told me and she loves seafood.

They have all kinds of fruits they had one with a honey lime dressing.

Rice with jasmine mash with garlic. Double fudge brownies, Flan.

There are some great places to eat outside of Disney and not pay the price.

One other place that is over priced is Alfredo's in Epcot and not worth the money!

Thanks for writing back with more specifics. As for Alfredo's it is closing in the summer (and it was on our list too, lol). There will be a new Italian Restaurant coming though to the Italian Pavillion at Epcot.

Epcot is tons of fun!

Did the new comedy club at Magic Kingdom today!

They are closing haunted mansion down in June to do it over.

The best time in Disney is the Halloween Party and the Xmas Party.

I was there today too at 11:30 am. I thought it was great! We were even chosen to be family of the day and Pooh took us to our table. What time did you go? I did not find a single thing wrong. I thought it was the perfect way to end our trip. (more to come on my dining reviews later)
