I have heard mixed reviews and im getting worried about our ADR's here. We have done breakfast 3 times and LOVED it! But I have heard it isnt so great for dinner and some have said its spicy tasting foods and it made so ill after feasting. Yes, I checked allears menu but I am curious. Whats the concensus? We are a family of 6. 2 adults and 4 rugrats ages 2,4,11 and 13.

Thanks Diser's!

I love the Crystal Palace. It's my favorite place to eat at the MK. The buffet is really yummy and I am not a buffet person. I don't think the food is spicy at all.
An extra at dinner is they have peel and eat shrimp. And the beef you get carved is really good. And I love their apple cobbler topped with the soft serve ice cream. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.

We ate there over Thanksgiving for the first time and we all loved it. I thought the peel and eat shrimp were great. We will definitly go back on our next trip.

We enjoyed CP for dinner and actually preferred it to breakfast. I think you'll have a great meal. Go and enjoy!

We ate dinner there last year and loved it! It hasn't worked out to go back the last 2 times, but I'm going to do my best to get us in there in June! :thumbsup2

Loved it and will be eating there in about 10 days. I've never had breakfast but never miss at least one dinner there per visit. IMHO it is one of the best buffets on property.

of CP dinner. I don't think the food is spicy at all and that includes the pork adobo. There is a wide selection of salads, vegetables and meats. Enough so that everyone has a choice.

We have done both breakfast and dinner, but do dinner now because it fits our touring plans better. I'd go back to either.

We went to CP twice for dinner in Sept.,and we all loved it! The food, service, and atmosphere were all pretty good:thumbsup2 ;We're bouncing back in 09',and are definately going there twice for dinner, and are going to try breakfast for the first time.It should be a pleasant experience!:goodvibes

We ate there in October and loved it. There were 11 of us and we all agreed that it was our favorite restaurant.

I have to admit, I love every kind of food from buffets to gourmet restaurants, and I really enjoyed the Crystal Palace! The theming was very pretty, the characters really made it fun, and the food was very good! The salmon was great, the pork was delicious and I loved the different salads - tomato mozzarella especially!

I have a very very sensitive stomach (IBS, actually, makes traveling a joy!), but this food didn't bother it in the least!

Definitely don't cancel - I thought about doing the same thing, but it was one of the most fun parts of our honeymoon, and we'll be going back there for our one year anniversary to give a big hug to Eeyore!

We had Crystal Palace dinner last month! We are used to having lunch there, I was VERY impressed with the dinner. You'll like it! :)

I too love the Crystal Palace . My hubby and I try to go each visit ..either with family or without......the food is not really spicey as I am not one of those that like spicey foods.......The carved meat section is good and so is the salmon. There are alot of choices for adults as well as kiddos.....

We too love the Crystal Palace and it is the one restaurant we consisitantly do every trip (13 and counting!).

Remember although WDW tries to maintain consistency day to day, meal to meal it is a restaurant that is dependent upon many outside factors - who is the cook that night, the crowds, the wait staff, did the order from the suppliers come in correctly? One off thing can affect someones perception of the restaurant on any certain day. Overall I think you will find more positive reviews and repeat customers for this restaurant than negative. JMO:)

I'd go back just to have the flan from the dessert table.:goodvibes

Salmon wasn't bad either.

CP dinner is awsome! I eat there every trip. I love the buffet, and the mashed potatoes are the best!!

We LOVE CP dinner - this was the one place that on our next trip (June 2009) BOTH kids insisted we return. Granted, we loved all the places we ate last time, but want to try new things - However, CP was a MUST DO AGAIN for our family. I don't think you can go wrong!

I'm very surprised to hear that you have heard mixed reviews on this restaurant - there is only one possible review and that is it's FANTASTIC! (See all the other posts above.) :) Have a great time!

I actually have IBS,too and tend to have more issues when traveling and find that prilosec really helps keep my tummy more settled. Its god knowing another IBS sufferer really enjoyed their dinner selections. Thanks for sharing!

We have three places we eat at every trip. CP breakfast, Ohanas dinner and cs @ Casey's for the corn dogs. This trip we thought we'd mix it up and do dinner at CP and breakfast at Ohanas. I am so relived to see nothing but positive reviews from all of you.....THANK YOU! :lovestruc We have always paid OOP but we are doing the dining plan as two of our four kiddies are tween/teen aged and the DDP is more budget minded for their voracious appetites!:rotfl:

Again, thanks!!!!! My mind is at ease!
