crystal palace eating LATE?

have you ever ate here at one of the LAST seatings? It is a late entry nite (1am) , but i beleive that our 930 seating is one of the last.... doesnt this mean the 'buffet wont be as "fresh"? i know, its kinda a silly question, but for the money we will pay, Id like to think they wont just let stuff run out, and we 'get what we get". hope this doesnt seem too frivolous.

We had a 9:15 reservation one night on our honeymoon. The restaurant was only 1/4 full and they were still putting new food out at 9:45. I didn't specifically notice later than that, but I never looked and we were done getting food other than dessert by 9:45. Characters were still constantly coming around and most hung out at our table for a while since we were the only occupied table in our section.

The food was fine. We've eaten there a couple times and never been disappointed.

We've had great experiences with characters there and bad. The late dinner was awesome. Then we went once at 5:30 when it was completely packed and Tigger skipped our table every time he came by. The rest were fine that night so it wasn't a big deal to us. If they were all like that then I would have been annoyed.
