I really wanted CP breakfast as I heard good things but dinner seems the one option that fits best in my schedule. Need options on the food? Would you compare it to Chef Mickey's? TIA!

We were there a couple years ago and did both CM and CP. We did not like the food at all at CM. I was an okay experience but the food was not worth it. When we went to CP we thought the food was better but still was nothing great. If I had to go to one of these I would go to CP over CM. It is one step above CM. Would 1900 fit into your schedule at all? That we thought was a much better buffer than either CM or CP.

Want to do CP for dinner at the park plus Pooh & Friends.

I didn't love CPs food. The characters took a long time to get to us.

Food wise it wasn't the best we had but wasn't the worst either. We did a lunch there but I'd say it's comparable to dinner. Service was among the best we had and I'd say the same for characters. I would agree with a previous post - 1900 Park Faire would be a better option but Crystal Palace would be better than Chef Mickeys in our experience :)

In that case I'd say you will be all right, so long as the menu looks ok to you. It's buffet food, even if it was considered the best, they can have bad days, and it's all pretty subjective anyhow. I found all Disney buffets to be better than any local buffet we have but not everyone would agree. I liked them for the characters and the variety of food (especially with a picky 5 year old) and we never expected gourmet food so no disappointment :)

Yes, comparing Chef Mickey to Crystal Palace makes sense.

I can complain about the food at each. To the contrary, I can make a case that buffets have something for everyone.

One place, Crystal Palace, is inside the Magic Kingdom - with Pooh & Friends.

The other, Chef Mickey's, has the Monorail whizzing overhead - with the Fab 5 (only place they are all together). Better Character interaction.

Buffets with 'better' food & Characters are: Cape May & 1900 Park Fare. Tusker House a rung down the ladder.

Had dinner at CP with DD13, we loved it. Wonderful character interaction. Loved the food options. Go for it.

If we had to pick one it would be CP - tho CM has the fab 5 which I prefer!! CP is a 'prettier' restaurant & is in MK which is always more convenient & tho the food is not amazing it's better than CM hands down.
