I finally got through to Disney Dining last night and booked the Crystal Palace for Breakfast on Feb 16th. The regular price there right now according to the menu on All Ears is 18.99 adults amd 10.99 children. When I made the reservation last night I was told the adults would be $26 and change and the kids $14 and change. Wow thats quite the increse. Anyone have any insight on this price? I imagine maybe the price is going up in the new year some and then maybe a seasonal price increase? I picked this one because it was inexpensive!:scared1:

Well they are closed for refurb right before then, they actually reopen on the 13th or 15th (don't remember which), so I guess someone has to pay for the refurb.:)

Well, the AllEars menu is from Jan 2009, so I was originally thinking that there was likely 2 increases... but the DIS menu says 10/06 and shows the same. Whether this means October 6th, or October 2006, I don't know (10 months of the same price is more likely than 3 years...)

It is a rather steep increase, but the original prices seem pretty low for such a popular experience and it seems more likely they increased it a "bit" to match demand :(. I know 1900 PF in Sept was just over 20$ per person (for breakfast), so it's not really that surprising.

On another thread I saw the following listed as 2010 "peak dates" where a surcharge is being added:

February 12 - April 10, 2010
June 4 - August 14, 2010
December 17 - 31, 2010

That really stinks because I doubt the food quality and character interaction are going to also temporarily increase.

I found this price list - it's fairly recent:

Seasonal Prices (Nov 22 - 28, 09; Dec 20, 09 - Jan 2, 10; Feb 14 - 20, 10; Mar 28 - Apr 10, 10; Apr 18 - 24, 10; June 13 - Aug 14, 09)

Breakfast: $24.49 adult (10 +); $13.84 child (3-9)
Lunch: $26.62 adult (10 +), $14.90 child (3-9)
Dinner: $39.40 adult (10+); $19.16 child (3-9)

Says tax & gratuity extra.

I think that the pricing includes tax, usually Disney sticks pretty close to the .99 'rule' of pricing.

If you take $22.99 and add 6.5% tax to it, that equals $24.49
Looking at lunch $24.99 and 6.5% tax equals $26.62
Dinner $36.99, with 6.5% tax is $39.40.

Not that ALL of the prices aren't expensive, they're just a little less when you don't add on 6.5% tax on top of the list that you found.

yeah okay I get it but where is the $26 adult and $14 kid price coming from. I'm sure it was those amounts, there was change on the end I just didn't get that part on paper when she said it. For the 2 a and 2 c in my party she gave me a total of 80something dollars. We're going anyway I thin kbut yikes I was expecting 60 dollars plus tax and gratuity for a total of about $73 not I'm looking at about $98. Thats a sizable difference. This is the first time in a long while we're not doing the DDP. For a 6 night trip I only booked 3 table service and I tried to be conscience of the cost. We're doing CP for breakfast, Sci-Fi for lunch and Teppen Edo for dinner. Teppen Edo was supposed to be my $100 splurge and thats dinner! I'm considering maybe booking somewhere else (like the Plaza for lunch) but it was our only character meal. I already cancelled our Disney Resort reservation in favor of staying offsite for the fist time in 11 years. I guess I'm having trouble swallowing all of the prices associated with Disney in late February!::rolleyes:

This is correct - BUT if you purchase DDP - seasonal prices don't affect (effect) you :goodvibes

Actually, for peak times the DDP will be 46.99 in 2010 for adults, vs. 41.99 for non peak times.
