Crystal Palace before MVMCP

Has anyone ever ate at the CP before the xmas party. I know they close like 6Pm the night of the party but you can still get a 5pm reservation that night cant you?

yes, we did this last year and it worked out perfectly. By the time we were done eating the party was just about to start so we got to walk into adventureland and got our pictures taken without a line and we had tons of characters to ourselves. It was quite deserted for a while until we made our way behind the castle. Fantasyland was way more crowded. This also worked for us at MNSSHP.

Crystal Palace is an excellent choice before MVMCP. We currently have LTT booked but plan to switch over to CP as soon as ADR's open up.

How late is too late to get an ADR at CP? We have a 6pm at LTT (but would like to change it like the above poster). Could I get CP at 5:45pm or so, or will I run into problems with CP closing at 6pm?

Dec'03 we did this. I think our ADR was for 5:40pm. No one rushed us. We got to see Pooh and all his friends. Its the only lunch-dinner buffet at Disney we like. DD12 still raves about the red velvet cake.

We went to CP at 5:30 before MVMCP last year. This year we have a 6:00 before MNSSHP. I think 6 will be perfect so we avoid being herded into tomorrowland until 7. I'd try for as close to 6 as possible.

I don't remember CP closing at 6 pm last year or am I reading this wrong? The park closes from 6 to 7 but if you have ressies anywhere in a restaurant you are allowed to enter. We did CP last year before MVMCP and had a nice time.

They stop taking PS/ARs at 5:45p. They are not open during the party, only before it. If you have a 5:45p PS/AR they will not kick you out. You can take your time eating.

Thanks! I asked the GF Concierge to get as close to 6pm as possible for that night. Hopefully, we'll get the 5:30- 5:45pm range!
