I was talking to a friend of mine last night who recommended CP for dinner. We had planned on going for breakfast, but I could do any of the meals and still be happy. We have the breakfast planned for 1000 (hopefully) on an EMH day. We figured we could get in, hang around the park for a couple hours and head off to breakfast. Or.....should we wait and do lunch or even dinner? I don't want to miss prime park time, but I do want to hang out with Tigger ;)

Any suggestions? Personal preferences?

We've only had dinner there, but we are going next week for breakfast. A friend of mine says all their meals are fabulous!

we have gone to Crystal Palace the last four visits for dinner.......We have gone as a large group with kids and just my husband and myself....the food selections are great and the desserts are too.....there are plenty of things to eat for kids, adults with food issues or anyone......I love the prime rib and the salmon...delicious.......

We had dinner at CP on Saturday night. IT WAS AWESOME!!! I cannot stop thinking about the pulled pork! There were so many wonderful choices. There was definitely something for everyone. We were a party of eight with a wide variety of food preferences. We were all happy.

I was not sure that I wanted to eat dinner at CP. We even considered canceling the reservation. I had heard such wonderful things about the breakfast, but the reviews about lunch and dinner were mixed. I am so glad that we ate at CP for dinner. We will definitely do it again the next time we visit.

We have been for breakfast and dinner. We did dinner before the Halloween party in October and the timing was great. The food is similar to all the character buffets in the park. There is a price difference between the two times. If you are doing the dining plan and want to make the most of it, I would say dinner then. If you are paying on your own and want to save a little, then breakfast. Have fun!

I've been to breakfast at CP 2 or 3 times. That's what I suggest.

Last year we made the latest lunch reservations, paid the lunch price but about 30 minutes into our meal they switched over the food to the dinner food so we got to eat the dinner food for the lunch price. I'd suggest doing that again!! BTW, we found CP to be the longest character dining experience. For us it took a good 2 hours for all of the characters to rotate through the huge dining room. I just say this so you can plan accordingly if you want to do a parade or something similar.

We have never been for lunch or dinner but I think that's because we always have to go there for breakfast. We go at least twice every trip so I vote for breakfast!!!

I'm not worried about parades or anything. The only show/parade type thing I REALLY want to see is HSM3 at HS. That won't affect my CP so I'm ok with it hehe-however I don't know if I could stay in a restaurant for 2 hours....I'm always the one ready to leave!

I'm just noticing that a lot of empty-ish park time is in the morning. I don't want to get stuck missing good park time if we eat breakfast. The lunch /dinner is sounding like a good plan anyway though. We're on the DDP, so price won't hurt.

I think you'll enjoy it no matter what time you go. I personally prefer breakfast there, I just like the food better, but my DS prefers lunch there.

We've done both breakfast and lunch and enjoyed both. If you're going on an EMH day, you might want to consider the earliest lunch instead of breakfast. You'll be giving up some prime park time at 10. Better to be eating when the real crowds hit.

We're trying dinner for the first time in June. We have had breakfast there in the past and have enjoyed it. I like the early (8:00 am or so) breakfast times when you can walk up Main Street with almost no one else around.

We go there every year for dinner. The food is really good and the interaction is great. We never have to wait long and they hang around for a little while which is nice.

I've never been there but we're doing breakfast. I must have that puffed french toast!

You cannot go wrong with breakfast or dinner but if you are going to do breakfast get there at the 8:05 am ressie

We did dinner at CP and it was absolutely perfect. We didn't rush at all and got out just as the Electric Light parade was coming down Main Street. We had a perfect view. Oh, and the food was really great!

We have done all three.
Breakfast is our favorite but out entire family LOVES breakfast food.
Dinner was very yummy as well. Desserts there are excellent. That's what I live for.
Lunch...we won't do lunch again. For the price, there are other places to go. One entire section was cheese and lunchmeats which is so-so for us. It wasn't bad, there just wasn't the variety that there is at breakfast and dinner.

I highly recommend. We always do breakfast, but that's just us. We did dinner one year because we were there at Christmas and it was fun and very yummy.

Aha! That's what I thought but DH kept saying it was late enough not to worry. But he's not really concerned like I am hehe. Thank you everyone for the insight!
