This is our third visit to WDW and we've never been early morning people:lmao: but we wondered about an early morning reservation at Crystal Palace and seeing the rope drop. If we're going to get up that early, we might as well do both! Can we do both? Assuming of course that we're done our breakfast in time... and then what time is a good time to book our breakfast ressie if we can and want to do both?

We've never seen the rope drop before. Would we eat at CP and then go back to the gate? What happens? I suppose this next question is for another thread but what happens at the rope drop anyway? :confused3 Do they just drop a rope? :laughing:

It would be really hard to do both. You would have to eat quickly then go back outside the entrance to see the show.(It's actually a show at MK...which I love!)

In my opinion the best part of the early morning breakfast ADR is getting to take a picture in front of the castle in a nearly empty park. Enjoy!

If you want both a (relatively early) ADR at CP, AND see the opening show in front of the train station, then make an ADR for 5-10 minutes after opening. But you will be losing about an hour or 90 minutes of early touring by doing this.

My suggestion, if you will be going to MK on more than one day is: get there early for the opening show one day, and make an early (1hr before RD) ADR for CP for the second MK day.

Oh thank you both! That was exactly what I needed to know. I'll be sure to plan two earlier mornings (well, early for us... ;)) I can't believe the rope drop a show!!! Cool!

Eeee! Excited!:banana::banana:

I think it can me done if you get to MK early and be one of the first in line to get into the park and then go straight to Crystal Palace to be one of the first to check in. We had an 8:05 ADR last Wednesday, we were done eating and had seen all the characters by 8:50. We could have made it back to the front for rope drop but opted to go wait at Fantasyland so we could be in line for the Tangled meet and greet. Which worked out great, we were third in line.
Oh and we also had an 8:05 ADR last year and we were also done around the same time. With it being a buffet, it doesn't take long to eat and maybe we were lucky to see all the characters, but it worked twice for us so it is possible.
