Crystal Palace and Happily Ever After

HI! Right now I am trying to decide between at 12:45 and 7:55 reservation at Crystal Palace (all I could get since we booked this trip at only 100 days out). I have read that they announce the fireworks are about to begin from inside and you can go out on the porch and watch them or sometimes you can get a window seat and view them. Is this true? I am leaning towards keeping the 12:45 as to not chance it but is there any advantage to the later time slot in regards to the fireworks?

There is no view from CP inside, and limited at best from the porch.
