Ok I bought about 10 pks of Crystal light on the go. If I use it with the water fountain in wdw will I be able to bare the taste :earboy2: of the water in the park? I like the crystal light on the go My question will it taste all right with wdw water. Because the water in WDW is NASTY! please let me know. This way I will not bring my bottel waters on the plane :confused3

Stahshee,
We used our Crystal Light packets at counter service meals for lunch. Just ordered an iced water with our meals. Sometimes, just 1 packet was fine. A couple of times we needed 2 packets to kill the 'FL water' taste. Funny thing we did notice - some places have better water than others. ESPN - water was great with just a lemon! We were guessing that table service places might have filters for their water, while counter service did not.

We took a box of Lemonade and a box of Raspberry Ice (found the Raspberry was better at covering the 'FL water' taste) for our family and that was plenty. BTW, the Walmart brand of Fruit Punch is pretty good too.

We also had a case of bottled water to drink the parks, used the Crystal Light at lunch, then used our mugs at the resorts.

Hope that helps!

We took these on our June 5th trip. We take in our bottled water and this was a nice change with our meals!! I think it would most definitely help the taste of FL water!!

Sometimes the water in the fountains is warm. Yuck!

I took some of the Walmart brand packets last month and bought a case of Dasani at Winn Dixie, I think it was $5.99 for 24 bottles. We were at OKW so we had a fridge.

In February we ordered counter service ice water and used the Crystal Lite Lemonade "go" packets. We usually used about 1 1/2 packets to get the lemonade flavor because the size of the water they gave us was more than enough for just one packet. It worked great that way.

For the record...It is not "FL water" LOL!!! It is DISNEY WATER. Where we live, the tap water tastes just as good as bottled water. :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Just thought I would mention - that the Wal-mart brand of this stuff is much cheaper. Not sure why the Crystal Light is so expensive. I am on a weight loss program and use these frequently. I love the orange one. The raspberry one is ok. I will be taking these with us to WDW in August - also will be using my Brita Fill and Go (that I just got off ebay!!). :smooth:

I also used the Walmart brand and liked it a lot. We took a bottles of water with us in the morning and then when we drank that we then filled the bottlesf rom water fountains and used the mix. All the fountains we used were really quite cold. I was actually pleasantly surprised how cold the water was.

We used them during our last visit and did find several water fountains where the water tasted so bad that the packets didn't even help. They were an improvement but it was still very difficult to consume some of the water. Definitely use bottled water whenever possible. When unable to, check the fountain water first before you pour the packet in...if the water is really bad, just dump it out and try a different fountain. That way you don't waste a bunch of the drink mix.

Target had the Crystal lite packets on sale, I bought a bunch of Orange and lemonade - Lemonade, no problem...

The orange (tastes like tang to me - love Tang) doesnt stay mixed!! I've only used it at home, lunch, but I cant believe that it wont stay mixed, and I even used a measuring cup to make sure the first time I had the right ratio of water to mix! :confused3

Target has good ones too. I like the strawberry lemonade one.

Whew! Minnie116, I am glad to hear that! I can't imagine not being able to drink water at my own home.

So the question is.... what does Disney do to make their water so bad? :rotfl:

A word of warning - I've found the raspberry ice flavor turns one's mouth very red!

It stains your fingers if you spill the powder on your hands!

...just remember your shout packets as well. (hehe)

I love the Walmart brand. I have the lemonade, fruit punch and rasberry ice. DD (age 5) loves the orange. I don't because it does taste like tang.

At home we also use the powder to make 2 quarts to keep in the fridge for when we first leave the house. The strawberry-orange-banana and grape are both AWESOME....wish these would come in the "to go" packets.

Target has the Strawberry-Orange-Banana flavor in their brand of packets.

Ok should I just forget the fountain water and just get water from the counter service? Do you think it will taste better with my crystal light? :teeth:

I love the On the Go packets! They're so easy to use with poland spring bottles that I bring to work. I don't like flavored water so this is great that it actually makes lemonade so easily and quickly. We're definately going to be taking them to disney in Aug. :sunny:

My question to those who use the Target and WalMart brands, are they still only 5 calories?
