Crying for someone else

Have you ever felt like you wanted to cry for someone else? today me and my boyfriend were walking to the store. None of my friends have ever met him, so as we walked past them I tried to introduce them.
The twins laughed at him so hard, and he tried to hide his face.
Eveyone laughed at him. and two girls ran past me and grabbed me and said
"HE'S TOO OLD FOR YOU!" "YOUR A MINOR" When he's actually six months older than me. I wanted to cry so bady. I felt so sorry for him. They said someone else but I don't think it's very appropriate to say here.
I felt so bad for him, he was silent on the way back. I wanted to cry for him.
I knew deep inside he wanted to cry too, I feel so bad for him.

I don't really hang out with them. They are the popular committee.
I tried to fit it but It didn't really work, on the way back we saw them again and they asked to use my emergency credit card. Of course, I said no.

Honestly, in your situation, I'd be too distracted by trying not to punch those girls to think about crying!

But yeah, I know what you're talking about.
I've cried for other people a lot.

Oh, yes.

I wanted to cry for my best friend when people were gay-bashing and making fun of her (ie calling her very innapropriate names).

No one deserves that. At all.

Sadly, jerk-faces (that's a NICE word for them) don't understand what it's like to be gay/lesbian/trans/bi.

i cried for my BF recently, because he got cut from his lacrosse team because they "feel he's still injured"(with a TWO YEAR OLD injury)
And I know that lacrosee is basically his life, so it broke my heart for him to be disappointed like that. So I cried for him, because I felt terrible, and I still do.

Jeez, only 6 months and they were so mean?
That's terrible. It's not like he's some creepy old guy! He's a sweet guy that you like and care about, and they should respect that.

If they can't be nicer and apologize, or just deal with it they need a reality check. There will be other friends who won't treat a person badly.

Those people are immature and not good friends. "He's a minor!" I mean come on, lets be mature please. You said he's only 6 months older than you.

I've felt like crying and have cried for other people many times. My friend's mother died earlier in the year and even though I didnt know her to well, I broke down crying because I felt so bad for my friend.

I almost started crying yesterday for my other friend because I heard people talking about him (I hear people talk about him a lot) and they are supposed to be his friends. It sounds stupid that I would cry about it, but I feel so bad for him. Being upset was also mixed with extreme anger and I was surprised I didn't hit one of the people.

Well, just make sure he knows that YOU don't feel the same way your friends do. They obviously don't know him or you very well and they aren't acting like good friends. Stay true to yourself and let him know you like him no matter what they say.
