crusing for spring break

What is cruising like on Spring Break in March--we are considering a 4 day in March of 2006 but have only done this twice before but in September. Is this a rotten time b/c the ship is full, full, full????

Advise please.....
also, besides ron jon--where do ya'll stay the night before the cruise that is fairly inexpensive but not scary..we have never quite done our trip like we are this time with our resort time after our cruise so we need somewhere for the night before..
