I will be there on Sept 25 on a Thursday for one day. Any thoughts on the wait times for Crush since it is suppose to be fairly quiet during the week. I am working on my schedule for the day and would like to get to DHS at 10 for that particular ride. Thanks in Advance!

:rotfl2: Who told you that?

We never saw it go under 60 minutes. Often 80+.

I have read that the end of September during the week is suppose to be light crowds due to school being in session and it is more the off season. Is that true?

The parks will be relatively quiet, but that doesn't mean that Crush will be.
From what I've read since Crush opened, the best bet is to be at the Studios before 9.30, then race to Crush as soon as the doors from Studio 1 open into the Studios proper.

i agree with that!when i was there in the summer with dbf and my bro we sent my long legged brother racing ahead to get in the queue and we managed to be first :rotfl:

its definitely best to get there well before 10 o clock and then when the gates open walk very quickly towards crush!

ditto :yay:

Last year we were there Sept 16th-19th school had begun but anyway on tuesday there was a VERY long queue each time we tried it.
So be ready at the gates and RUN when they open LOL

but ifi ts been raining be careful coz the courtyard gets very slippery, goofy almost fell over :lmao:

We just got back last night. Crowds were very light in both parks all week but then it was mad yesterday - never seen it that busy even during school holidays!

Went into Studios on Thursday for opening and the queue for Crush at around 9.30am stretched all the way across the courtyard. Wait times once it opened were over 60 minutes. We managed to do it around 4pm - wait time said 35 mins but we were in and out in around 25 minutes.

Yesterday it wasn't working when we went in after lunch.

While I was there last week the queue times were always around 60mins even early in the morning. It's a fantastic ride though!!

Meh, I don;t think crush is anything to write home about. :(

Maybe its because I sacrificed my last morning of Extra magic hours to queue for it, then in broke down for 40 minutes as we got to the front!

But certainly wasn't 2 hours of my last day when i could have been in an empty fantasyland and discoveryland and had an early morning ride on BTM.

If the queue says 20 mins or less when I'm there next time I'll consider it but certainly wouldn't plan my day around it again.

Sorry to be a party pooper.

If you only have 1 day, skip it. My wife still has not been on it despite 3 trips since opening (both on and off season) because she is not willing to wait for more than an hour for it. It is good if you wait less than 20 mins, but personally I think it has really had a negative impact on WDSP. If you must ride, I would be inclined to say hop on a few minutes before the park closes (though the risk is it will break down as it often does).

And for the poor fools that queued 2-3 hours for it in Summer, they must have had more time than sense.

Thanks for all of the advice. I guess we will wait as our goal it to go on rides we have never experienced before. We will go for the EMH at DL then head over at 9:30 for Crush and run like crazy when the gates open. It sounds like the Nemo Subs at DL where the wait never went below 60 min, you just have to wait.

it's a wonderful ride - I love it.

you have to be in the queue for studios from about 9.20 am and then really run to get to the front of the queue.
if you join an already snaking queue at 9.50 you will have to wait longer than an hour, and people may push in front.

i always keep my eye on the queue being shorter than 40 minutes - it's better to do it then.

And it is no where near as good as Nemo Subs either, with a smaller capacity. If you have been to DL and WDW, imagine mixing Primevil Whirl with the Nemo Subs or the Nemo and Friends ride in Epcot.

Personally for Disney vets coming over to DLP from the states, I would prioritise:

DLP:
Phantom Manor
Big Thunder
Adventure Isle
Pirates of the Caribbean
It's a Small World
The Castle and the Dragon's Lair
Alice's Curious Labrynth
Space Mountain
The Nautilus Walk Through
Tarzan, Lion King, Mickey's Winterwonderland (dependent on season)

WDSP:
Cinemagique
Stitch Encounter
Armageddon (though unpopular with many - like Backdraft/Twister at the Universal Parks)
(if short queue. Crush maybe - though would rather do RNR Coaster, Tower of Terror and other things instead)
Also, if you have not been to WDW, then do Moteurs Action

Other attractions unique to DLP, or slightly different but only worth while if you have time:

Aladdin's Enchanted Passage
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril
Storybookland Canal Boats/Casey Jr has different scenes than DL
Crush Coaster
Cars (similar to Francis Ladybug Boogie at DCA)
Animagique
Slightly different Art of Animation exhibit

....Aldo sdon't forget to go and see the dragon underneath the castle :goodvibes

Indeed a priority. I had said Castle and Dragon's Lair, but fear for losing out, it probably is better to split them as 2.

Whoops sorry I got too excited and didnt read your thread properly!! If it was me I would go on Crush - very excited about it, I love Nemo and I love Primevil Whirl at WDW - I went on it 5 times in a row as there were no queues in Jan :rotfl:

It's not just us then! We did the same in April, had an hours EMH then went to queue for Crush from 9:20 and joined the back of the enourmous queue across the lot. After ages we got inside the building itself when it broke down! They kept saying it would restart soon, but then just after 10:30 shut the ride...

Having said that we did get on it last October, and we do think it's a great ride - it's top on the list for this October having missed out in April. We might try joining the queue about halfway through a parade - or we might just find one of those random moments when the queue is really short for no apparent reason.

I agree with the others, if you only have one day enjoy it on the rides you can get on, not in the queues. Another time saver if money permits and you're there for the evening - go for Cafe Mickey rather than the characters in the park. You might not get as many but you'll save so much time and patience not chasing characters that always take someone else book at the last moment!
