I have a question I have never been on this ride before at TL and was just wonderin what is the difference between the 3 different slides? Which is the longest, and best slide? Thanks :goodvibes :goodvibes !!!!

I was at Typhoon Lagoon 3 weeks ago with my family and we decided to go on the crush n' gusher. We walked a little over half way up and then they said that they had to shut down the park because of weather. I am hoping to get a chance to go on it next June when I go for summer break.

It's been awhile since I was there, but I'm not remembering too many differences between the slides. The biggest thing that I am remembering is that the slides are assigned different tubes. For example, one slide will be for a double rider tubes while another slide is for the single rider tubes...

HTH,

You should go on all three!!! I think I like the middle one the best, but really, they're not that different. They're all fun and you'll have a blast :thumbsup2

Banana is my favorite and pineapple is my least favorite (if I'm remembering correctly). Pineapple was short and banana gives you some pretty decent air time. :cool1:

The middle slide is our favorite because we where a group of 3. We went Last July and rode this ride over and over again towards closing time. Like the person above me stated lift your tooshie or it will hurt. We loved this ride and screamed non stop the whole way down. Have fun and go on all 3 try them out and see what one is your favorite.

I can't remember which slide we did- all I do remember is wanting it to end. :lmao:

oh and when they say Bottoms up- they mean BOTTOMS up. OUCH!!!!

It's been a while for me as well, but I remember that two of them are at one level and the third is higher. Also, the third one doesn't allow two-person tubes, so it's clearly the more "thilling."

After riding all of them, I didn't see too much of a difference, I must admit! Go early in the morning and ride all three!

When we were there last year, all 3 slides allowed 2 person tubes. Has that changed now?

We rode them all and also didn't notice too much difference between them. I really liked it though, and I'm really not into waterslides that much.

We rode the three-person raft slide (I was thinking it was "Pineapple" - but I'm not positive).

We yelled "butt-up, butt-up, butt-up" the whole way down!!!!

I agree with the OP's. The middle slide is the best, which is the far left stairwell. You'll get a ton of air time with 3 people riding. I hate Pineapple for just one reason. Right at the beginning you go through a closed in section of the tube and a ton of water is dumped on you from above. You're clenching the handles so tight you can't wipe the water and hair from your face. BTW, make sure you're clenching something else too.:rotfl2: If you almost lie down you'll be better off, trust me. I love this ride!!

All 3 take 2-rider tubes, only 2 of them take 3 rider tubes. I think Banana and Coconut were the 2 good ones, and Pineapple was the one that was not as good.

I know for sure that all 3 take 2-rider tubes, because I've ridden all 3, and never used a 3 rider before ;) Always kept my bottom up, too, don't forget that!!

If you get there early enough, you can do 'em over and over again, so I wouldn't worry about which is best! Just as soon as you get to the park, walk towards crush n gusher (when you get to the lockers you walk past them at a backwards angle - most people keep heading in the same direction they're going as they walk in), the best chairs are back there, too!
