I was looking at the height restriction of the crush coaster and at 1m 4cm, my DD 4 could go in, but the disney web site says it is not recommended for kids under 7.
Has anyone being in this attraction with 4-5 years old? Is it too fast, to scary?
My DD is not really into thrill rides yet, and the last thing I want is to scare her bringing her too soon to one.

Crush Coaster is a rough ride and maybe not the best introduction to thrill rides. My two did it last year when DS was 5 and he came off looking as if he would throw up - he loves Big Thunder Mountain though !!!.

I would say it depends on your 4 year old.

The ride is at times dark, it spins and has steep drops whilsts moving backwards and sideways, when you cannot see where you are going.

That said, our nieces of 13, 10 and 7 loved it and I will encourange the members of our party next week who are 6 and 8 to give it a shot.

I am very much of the try everything once way of thinking.

BUT

If you think your kid will be scared on a fast, dark, bumpy ride then save it for next time.

To compare it I think it is 'scarier' than BTM but not as 'bad' as SM.

Just my take on it.

For the record I LOVE IT!

If your DD is not keen on thrill rides then I'd give Crush a miss.
As others have said it is definitely on the thrill side of a coaster except it does not do inversions.
Like Jackie we saw plenty of kids who had pleaded to go on and came off traumatised  :scared1:

I will follow your advice and skip it, this is a kid that gets scared on the bumps of POTC. Maybe I'll try it by myself while DH stays with the kids.
This is going to probably be the only time we will do DLP in a long time. We are currently living in Madrid because of hubby's job, but will get back to Florida next year. If we come back to Europe on a holiday, I doubt it will be to DL as we have WDW so close to home, and are also DVC members.
I will try to make it to the attractions we don't have there like Indy and Crush by myself and do the rest with the kids.

My DD went on and she's 3! I didn't realise there was a recommendation of 7 yrs, I just thought it went by height and because she's tall for her age she was fine. She absolutely loved it, it was one of her favourites and she talks about it all the time.

She was better than me then!! I am .........more than 4 :lmao: and felt horrible after Crush :scared1: so much that i refused to go again.

My now 5 (his birthday was April 13th) year old did the ride a couple of weeks ago. He was very excited to give it a try, but afterwards said he would not do it again. It was just too fast for him. We'll see if he changes his mind for our August visit.

For us the ride was just too scary for him. He was very brave and didn't cry, but I could tell he did not enjoy the darkness and the jerking of it.

DH came off feeling  and he normally LOVES coasters :lmao: DS(14) said it wasn't as bad as Indi backwards, DS(8) and I were too sensible to try it:rolleyes1
