Cruising with Disney

From entering the ship to leaving the ship, there is not much we dislike about our Disney Cruise. We were a group of 5 adults without children and still loved every minute of our cruise. This was our first ever cruise. My husband, myself and my 6 year old daughter loved it, every aspect. Disney does a great job on every aspect.

Thanks for sharing Kimbee. We cannot wait till we get a chance to complete a Disney Cruise with no kids but for now we are enjoying every moment with our young children.

We could not agree with you more. Disney just does it right.

We enjoyed our disney cruise, but didn't think it was worth thousands more than other mainstream lines. Yes, DCL has free soda stations, and more seafood in the buffet. However, they all have photo packages, key cards, ship sponsored excursions, entertainment, bingo (hate bingo), specialty restaurants, grab and go food stations, room service, children's programs...

I didn't like the assigned dining times on DCL - sometimes we'd want to eat early, sometimes late, and as a family of 7, we would split up some nights. I remember coming back from Atlantis, exhausted and starving. We ordered some room service, and struggled to shower and be ready for dinner, only to not be hungry because we just ate!

Now, if I had the $ for a DCL cruise, I'd get a haven suite on NCL, with special perks, a butler, concierge, separate pool area, and restaurant!

Thanks for sharing. We did not find that DCL was all that much more then the others. Maybe a few hundred bit not thousands...

I've never had a difference of less than $1000. I just picked two 4 day cruises in June of 2015, florida to the Bahamas. NCL, balcony, for 3 people, $2211. DCL, balcony, for 3 people, $3596. Of course, the price difference is even greater for longer cruises (we always do 7 nights), and since we're a family of 7, we need 2 cabins, so the price difference between NCL and DCL is always in the thousands.

I think it's a great product, but I just can't justify the huge difference in price.
