Cruising while pregnant

Has anyone recently gone on a cruise while pregnant? I know the rule is 24 weeks or less, but I'm wondering what you needed to bring to 'prove' that. Did you need a doctor's note?

They will accept no "proof" - as in a doctor's note. It's on you to be honest about it. If you lie, and something happens, they're not responsible.

From the DCL website, here's the Terms & Conditions that you agree to when you book your cruise:
Women who have entered their 24th week of pregnancy as of their embarkation date or who will enter their 24th week of pregnancy during the cruise will be refused passage due to safety concerns. Neither a physician's medical statement nor a waiver of liability will be accepted. In addition, Disney Cruise Line cannot be held responsible or liable for any complications relating to pregnancy at any stage.

I think that the doctor's note they say won't be accepted are the ones that say yes she is 24 weeks and under my care and I say she is okay to travel. I think if you are showing a lot it would be okay to have a doctor's note that states you are not entering the 24th week during the cruise just in case anyone does ask or if medical asks.

My point being, DCL (as well as most other cruise lines) are just going to accept your word that you're within the proper time frame for cruising while pregnant. They won't be asking for a doctor's note. But, OP can certainly get one if she wishes.

They just ask and you sign that you're not 24 weeks. I took a brief history & physical type note more for my peace of mind just in case something happened.

The point is, if you aren't truthful and go into pre term labor during the cruise, you aren't hurting anyone but you and your child and DCL is not liable because you lied to them. No skin off of their nose. That's why the note is not necessary.

Yes. My midwife has me keep a mini-chart with me at all times when I'm pregnant. It's just a folded up piece of card stock that tracks my vitals and any health issues (although, I didn't have any). But it would be helpful for a doctor to know what your baseline BP, weight, urine results, etc are. Just in case. I never had any problems cruising pregnant and no one ever asked me for proof, even though I was showing one time (at 17 weeks pregnant with #3, I was OBVIOUSLY pregnant )

I took a note with due date and how far along I was from my doctor just in case, nobody asked. I was around 19 weeks when we sailed. As others have stated, I don't think you need this.
