Cruising The Canal May 1, 2015 (Roll Call in Post 1)

I had been flip-flopping between Nachi Cocom and Mr. Sanchos for our Cozumel day. I finally made a decision and find out that they are both closed on Sundays!

I thought we were pretty well decided on most of our excursions. Now it looks like Puerto Vallarta is really the only day we have figured out for sure:rolleyes:.
That's too bad. Hopefully you will find something comparable. I think most of us can't book excursions until end of January so we still have time to research. My only one I'm not sure about is cartagena.

wow, I'm impressed I looked at the excursions once and haven't talked to DH about them at all.

We have gotten some of the before and after cruise things done though. Maybe I'll look at excursions again if I have some free time at school. (it's always good to do some cruise dreaming in the down times LOL)

Next on my check off list is arranging for our train tickets from San Diego to Anaheim. (We're waiting and hoping a friend we're renting points from will be able to book Grand Californian for us, otherwise we'll have to pick a different resort.)

Don't be too impressed, I like to change my mind a lot. I do feel more committed to this cruise than I usually do to most since we already booked our airline tickets. I knew I might as well get organized. I have our before and after hotel booked but we are just going to stay the night after cruise and fly back. This is already a long vacation.

Hi! Please add us to your roll call. Kelly(Disney4M&M), Matt, DS(12, at trip time), my sister Tami and Dad, Bob. This is a birthday trip for my sister's milestone birthday, on the first night, so we can enjoy for the whole trip!!!! We live outside of Buffalo NY. I started checking this thread looking for kids Matt's age but it seems not a lot of kids go on this cruise. No worries, I'm sure it will all be good. My sister took my older kids on this cruise going EBPC, on her last milestone birthday and now it's our turn. At this point we also are flying in the night before and staying in South Beach, Dad is all thumbs up for it! Post cruise we are heading to the San Diego Zoo and then driving up to Disneyland for a few nights. Tami and I are going on cruise #10 in a few weeks, platinum here we come, Matt and Dad will be gold, guess we need to get them on few more, lol!

Welcome Kelly and crew! There are actually a few edge kids already in this group. My ds will be 14 at the time of this cruise. He will have the option of choosing edge or vibe. He will probably wait and see which one he likes best.

I am hoping that he wants to hangout in one of the clubs, on the last cruise we checked out the Edge and there were not many kids, so he never wanted to go back. I'm hoping if he can connect ahead of time it might be different this cruise.

I've never done palo. I think my DH and I will try it next year. Would everyone recommend us try the brunch or the dinner?

I'm not sure if anyone else mentioned it (still trying to catch up after being away a while), but you can try both if you like. Although you can only book one in advance, there were lots of openings once onboard. We did 1 group brunch and 2 dinners.

Hi All

Just put a deposit on this cruise yesterday. Will be myself, and DW, celebrating our 25th anniversary on this cruise. So excited!

Welcome aboard and congrats on 25 years - I have added you to the roll call :thumbsup2

Welcome Kelly and family :)

Hi! My small family of three will be joining you on this exciting adventure! I actually booked on opening day, as I see many of you also did, but we have another sailing coming up in November and so I have been busy getting ready for that. It's fun to see that this group is so active! I spent the first nine years of my life in Panama City and have been hoping to find a way to take my little girl. Since my husband is not such an adventurous type, I figure this is as close as we are going to get.

We are Tim, Alexis (that's me!), and Lilia (8) from Wilmington, NC. This will be our 6th DCL sailing and our first not on the Magic (we are creatures of habit!) We have late dining. I have not had a chance to read through all 35 pages of the thread, but I will get caught up! In the meantime, we would like to be added to all activities in which there is still space (meets, FE exchange, mixology and tastings, etc.) I would also be interested in purchasing a t-shirt for my daughter. Ok, well...I have to prepare to log in and do my DCL check-in, but I'll be back! Looking forward to sailing with you!

Hi! Can we please get added as well? I have been on the FB group but would like to join here too. We are DW, DH, DS (8) and DS (5) - ages time of sailing. Cabin # 7535. We are planning to do FE, M&G and probably a mixology. SO excited for this trip!
Thanks so much!

This will be our fourth Disney Cruise! Our first was the westbound transatlantic in 2010. We have taken two "last minute" cruises since then, one on the Magic (before refab) and one on the Dream this past winter. This Panama Canal cruise will be for our 35th anniversary. So excited...mostly, for the days at sea! Can't wait to meet you all!

Roll Call: Just DH and myself....both a young 55!

PS: What is the name of the Facebook page?:cool1:pirate::cool1:

Nobody will notice if you wear the same outfit for all 3 formal nights if packing more could be a bit difficult. Particularly if the dress is black. For me I might need a bigger one for later in thecruise though:rotfl2:

I was on that cruise and I only remember 2 formal a and 1 semi formal. Two formals where the first sea day and Cabo. The semi was I think the second of the four sea days after the canal. If have to look it up.
