cruising questions using points

When is the best time to book a cruise for March 02? I want to book a 7 day cruise for 3/9/02 . If DVC should reduce the amount of points to cruise that weeks, will the extra points I used be refunded to me? Should I wait a little longer to see if the point values will change? What are the chances of the point values going down for cruises? I live in central FL so I don't need to worry about plane reservations, etc.

Quite honestly the chances of the point values decreasing for the cruise are slim to none. There have only been two instances when this has happened and both were during the DCL Fall Fantasy promotion.

Since you are a Florida resident, you may be much better off to cruise utilizing Florida resident discounts and save your points for a WDW trip, if possible. But if you do want to cruise on points, just keep in mind it would be highly unlikely for a point reduction to occur, especially in March. Good luck in your decision.
